    An Unforgettable, Inclusive Wedding Experience!

The Essex Resort & Spa was the perfect wedding venue. Michaela McCarthy warmly guided our tour, and Monique Lavallee expertly supported planning from the Grand Tasting to our August 2, 2026 wedding. Inclusive, welcoming, and flexible, the team helped us create a seamless, personalized celebration with outstanding food and beautiful spaces.

Susan and Giff's Wedding Essex Resort Spa

We had a marvelous experience working with Nicole and Michaela in planning our wedding event. The whole team was very professional and responsive to our specific requests. This was their first "senior wedding" and brunch wedding never encountered before.Nicole and Susan developed a close working relationship that solved many requests. The Essex Resort is perfect with full services, beautiful spaces, and friendly staff. They were willing to help and support our specific goals. We had a happy marriage ceremony and fun reception. We highly recommend this location for anyone wanting a Vermont venue. They responded immediately to our requests always. It was our moment to be with 90 friends and family with a non traditional wedding. We were very pleased with the outcome. Make it first on your list of places to see on making first class wedding plans. Thank you to everyone!

    The Perfect Day

We had a phenomenal experience at the Essex. Despite some staff turnover when we were first securing the venue, everything has been seamless. We had the chance to take part in one of their large wedding tastings and it was incredible. It gave us a chance to try everything and talk to the chefs. It also gave us a chance to see the Farmhouse again and meet vendors. Also, the Farmhouse, their new venue, is stunning. It has 2 getting ready rooms built into the venue which was super convenient. My mother was able to be part of getting ready but also help oversee all decorating. Because the getting ready rooms are in the venue we were able to have a cool place to wait before the ceremony and regroup. In terms of the actual wedding, everything was perfect. The food was amazing, our gluten free cake was delicious, and no one could tell it was GF. One of the biggest perks of booking at the Essex is that you get assigned a wedding coordinator 4-6 months before your wedding. They walk you through all decisions and helped us stay on track with wedding planning. We were assigned Katarina and she was incredible. She helped with everything from our ceremony order, making sure we stayed on timeline, to helping clean my dress when it got muddy during pictures. She truly went above and beyond. I wasn’t stressed at all and I truly attribute most of that to Katarina and the amazing Essex staff. Everyone made sure we were taken care of. We loved it so much that we are already planning our next visit for our anniversary. They made the Essex feel like home.

Seriously the best wedding weekend ever!

Our experience at the Essex was 10/10. Our event coordinator was Cindy, who did a phenomenal job guiding us and our wedding planner through the choices to be made and the lay of the land! She was so communicative and was great about answering any and all of my questions (and I had a lot). The banquet and catering team spearheaded by Sydney was fabulous as well; I have celiac disease and it was very important to me that I have a dedicated gluten-free wedding, and Cindy and Sydney made my dreams come true while also navigating our guests varied allergies and dietary restrictions! The food was phenomenal and several of our guests commented on the high quality of the meals. We and our guests also loved that the inn was connected to everything we needed on the property all weekend - we never had to leave the building (which was ideal, given we got married in early March!). The inn is so cozy and cute, and the spa is a wonderful and relaxing bonus. My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about our entire (flawless!) wedding weekend at the Essex, from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch. Photo by Anne Mientka Photography
