That's when my DJ Mike SAVED the day along with my photographer and they basically took the coordination of placing the guests in and out of the appropriate rooms and they even helped me make a candle light outdoor ceremony look even better. Mike was exceptional, he confirmed that all the songs that were specifically requested for the ceremony and introductions were played and he went over them with me to make sure that he had them correct AND HE DID! Planning a playlist and all the musical moments is such a big task and it really stood out to us just how friendly and open they were in the process. Brett and his team were so friendly and relaxed that they immediately won us over. By the time of the wedding, they really felt like a true partner and not just a hired service. The set that they played for our wedding was high on the funk (exactly like we wanted) but the band has a huge repertoire for any wedding vibe you are looking for. They worked with us every step of the way in choosing songs and all the other moments involved in the wedding. They ended up creating the PERFECT wedding playlist and exactly what we were hoping for. They also acted as the emcee for the night, and played our cocktail hour as well, it couldn’t have gone better! We had so many people complimenting us on the band during and afterwards. They played two long sets and had the dance floor full the entire night! Their first song had EVERYONE rush to the dance floor, you could see how much fun everyone was having with their music. You could tell the band was enjoying themselves too, which made it even more fun! Brett and Justine the other lead singer came around a few times when we were checking out our venue and getting things ready. We really appreciated them taking that time to meet because you could see they wanted to be prepared and organized the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. Brett even helped us out with fixing some lights for our disco ball and bounced some ideas on other decorations we were sorting. He was always willing to help with anything! They truly love music and what they do and it shows by how talented everyone in the band is! I would highly recommend Hunkajunk for any weddings or just any other party!”

“When my husband and I started our wedding planning journey, we wanted to find a DJ that would be able to play music form both my culture (Haitian) and my husbands (Puerto Rican). During my search, his business popped up on IG. I went through his IG profile and knew he was the one I wanted. I sent his profile to my husband and he sold. What also sold us was all the extra services he had! Everything all in one place. In all I booked the sparklers, smoke machine, 360 Photo Booth, an Emcee, and gobo lights. My first dance, OMG. However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Booking Carinvalè for our wedding was the absolute BEST decision we could have ever made!! Our venue had recommended BVTLive if we were interested in booking a band, so we watched one of their live showcases streamed live on YouTube. My husband and I enjoyed all of the bands that played, but one really stuck out to us, Carnivalè! We booked Carnivalè without even seeing them in person, that’s how good they are! When we did attend a showcase in person a few weeks later, they exceeded our expectations and we started counting down the days until they would play at our wedding! Working with Nils to lay out all of our options was amazing! He is the sweet person you’ll ever meet and so on top of things! Leading up to the wedding we worked closely with our band leader, El, to choose songs and create a timeline for our wedding. El and Carnivalè have played at tons of events and weddings and were super organized and easy going! Fast forward to our wedding night, El and the band were absolutely INCREDIBLE!! They catered to all ages at our wedding and made it a night to remember! I really can’t put into words how much fun everyone had and how amazing the band sounded the entire night!
