When we were looking for a wedding and engagement photographer we wanted someone who was creative in their shots, had crystal clear photo quality, and had a true to life/vibrant photography style - and Maria was the perfect fit! We had a phone consultation where she asked thoughtful questions to get to know us as a couple but also helped asked things related to photography to help us communicate our desires and ensure she was the right fit. Maria wants her couples to have the dreamiest day and I loved how intentional she was with helping us communicate our vision - she’s the pro and knew exactly what to ask to get us thinking!
We were immediately obsessed and left in awe at some sample galleries, so we signed right away. When it came time for our engagement photos we had this super fun pre-shoot questionnaire that once again consisted of thoughtful questions (our planner was SO impressed with them), such as if there were any specific shots we wanted or our comfort level with photos. My now husband and I sat down with wine and went through the questions together, so that itself was a fun planning experience. We’re not the most comfortable in front the camera so it was cool to feel seen and have her understand us before we arrived to the shoot. And let me tell you we had the BEST time! We felt comfortable so quickly and the shoot flew by. The photos turned out AMAZING and we got even more excited for the wedding.
Before the wedding we had a questionnaire to go over our desires for the wedding (and even had a chance to put secret info if you had any surprises for people or just wanted her to be aware of certain family dynamics you don’t want widely disseminated). On our wedding day Maria even handled a situation for us when we asked for help and she was the most discreet and professional and got us taken care of.
We just got our full gallery back and the photos are the dreamiest - incredible sunset photos, creative and thoughtful detail shots, and excellent photos of our guests. The gallery captures our day perfectly and is everything and more than we could have asked for.
Maria is timely, talented, professional, a cool person, and is someone we’d hire again in a heartbeat. Plus, she’s always down for an adventure so if you want to travel I’m sure she’ll be happy to meet you there and help make your photography dreams come true. We will cherish our engagement and wedding photos forever.
