Absolute Beauty by Wendy

Rating: 4.9 (39 reviews)

“I had the most amazing experience with Wendy’s team on my wedding day. From our first communication, they were incredibly responsive, organized, and attentive to every detail. Due to an incredible life surprise, we had to postpone our wedding. Lucky for me, they were available on our postponement date. Since day one, Wendy has been exceptionally kind, supportive, and understanding. I definitely dropped the ball on scheduling my trial, but Jinay made sure I got it done. She and Emely made me feel like my best self before the big day. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I chose the best team out there. They truly took the time to understand my vision and brought it to life beautifully — my hair and makeup were flawless, natural, and lasted perfectly through every moment of the day. Beyond their amazing skill and artistry, they were such a joy to be around. Their positive energy made the day so enjoyable and helped set the perfect tone. She also remembered some of the issues we had with the style at the preview and modified it to make it work best for the day. She brought extra bobby pins and hairspray and showed up perfectly on time (in fact she was a little early!). She was great and I highly recommend her! “I booked Mindy for hair for my wedding without a trial due to distance but I had a feeling that I could trust her based on previous work posted to her social media. She travelled the furthest out of all my vendors and arrived on site earlier than expected. As a bride, this relieves a lot of stress, especially because we had an early wedding! Mindy absolutely slayed my hair which was extremely intricate and included a VERY large cultural head piece. She is extremely talented and really understood what I wanted without very much direction. She checked in on me throughout the process and really went above her responsibilities as a hair stylist. She even provided an unplanned service for a wedding guest who I did not originally book hair for without hindering our timeline. The hair style lasted with no sign of falling out throughout the ceremony and then she changed my hair style during part of cocktail hour flawlessly and efficiently so I could make my grand entrance. My fiancé (now husband) LOVED my hair and even complimented how kind Mindy was during the short interactions they had throughout the morning. Mindy is not only an exceptionally talented hair stylist, but also a wonderful person. I felt like Mindy was a great pillar of support for me on this integral day of my life. I wish her all the success in the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mindy!”

“I was in a wedding 2 years ago and needed a makeup artist. I came across KD’s work through another friend, because she had done her face for her wedding and it was stunning. I’m not makeup oriented, but when I want to look dolled up I don’t want to look like a completely different person. While KDs range of work spans from Soft glam to dramatic, she gave me exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want to be caked up full of makeup, I wanted to still look like myself just enhanced a little. I loved it! And here I am attending another event this year where I wanted a complete look, and KD is my go to. She is worth booking over and over again, she’s super professional, sweet and kind. She’s informative, can educate you on what she’s doing without making one feel uncomfortable or small due to the lack of knowledge. She has a beautiful spirit and it shines in her work. I absolutely love her.”
