“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“I used Summit Events Co. for my December '24 wedding and could not recommend them more! DJ Ben was SO fun and really kept the party alive. He was such a pleasure to meet with ahead of time and asked us tons of questions to really understand our vision for the evening. He was truly a delight and even wore black, per my very annoying request :) He also had me get on the DJ board (just pretending) and it was a huge hit! Very fun, very adaptable! Summit Events Co. uses an app for all of your music and timeline needs and it was SUPER easy to use. It connects to Spotify, Youtube, and a few other platforms so I could just upload my playlists I had already worked on and it made everything really fast. We also got a photobooth which was AMAZING. It's hard to know when planning a wedding what is worth the extra cost but this hands down was worth it. Our attendant was such an angel and multiple people came up to me after to tell me how cool she was! Their pricing is super reasonable - very in line with other vendors I found and Ben was able to accommodate our specific budget while still making our vision come to life. Overall I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Summit Events Co!”

While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

Paris did my cousin‘s wedding 15 years ago and saved the day when her previous DJ backed out. our family still talks about it to this day and that’s why we reached out to him from the start. He is very communicative and responsive. He gives a great set of pamphlets which he made to help you prepare for the big day. He gives a lot of great suggestions. he listens and prepare himself very well to show up for your big day. Paris did our ceremony music and reception music. He was a great emcee and informed the crowd when needed, and also just sounds great on the mic! He nailed it from beginning to end. All of my song requests were played during the ceremony and at the reception all of the perfect time! For me, DJ was a HUGE part of our day and can quite honestly make or break a wedding. I hired Erica in July for my December Disney wedding. I never felt rushed, overwhelmed or anything stressful. Erica is so kind, her voice is ethereal and she knows how to read a room. She even recommended an amazing officiant to me when I was struggling to find one. Erica was the hit of my wedding, when she started singing to open the ceremony a bird flew up to her, perched next to her and sang with her. Even the bird wanted to be close to her and felt her kindness. This was the most beautiful moment and my guests are still talking about it. I wanted a Disney/Christmas wedding theme and Erica delivered in every aspect. She was also beautifully dressed and looked gorgeous (nobody wants sloppy vendors lol). Erica created the perfect atmosphere by intertwining romantic Disney music as well as Christmas songs. Erica made the wedding a dream come true. The fact that she is well known also helps, as most vendors and venues love working with her. She learned a few new songs for me and worked seamlessly with my other vendors to create the perfect, yes absolutely perfect, day. Thank you Erica! You are a true star!”

Our venue had the ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception all in three separate areas, and DJ Neal was more than accommodating with his setup. Everything transitioned seamlessly and without any stress for us. He truly went above and beyond with the lighting setup as well. If you’ve had a good time at a wedding or event in the DC/Maryland/VA area, chances are it was DJ Casanova that got you moving. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“Jamie Alberti, aka DJ Casanova, was the BEST DJ we could have possibly chosen for our wedding. He was incredibly helpful in the lead up to the big day and met with us in advance to discuss the details, the vibe we were going for, and the types of music we definitely wanted played on our big day! On the day itself, he had all the tech set up and ready to go for our ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception itself - all of which were spread out in different locations across our venue. He definitely got his steps in on our wedding day but he was certainly up to the task. He did a great job with the announcements for the evening and we're so happy that we went with him! Highly recommend!”
