When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

I have been a photographer for 8 years. Throughout my time as a photographer I’ve captured clothing, models, and memories. I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. I am part of a husband and wife team. My husband Pete is a laidback Minnesotan and I grew up in Germany. Between the two of us we speak multiple languages. Though we are based in the DC metro area we love to travel for destination weddings!

Hey, I'm Chris! Dog-lover, latte-lover, gym-lover, and cookie-lover I justify the cookies by going to the gym. One of my life goals is to have enough dogs (dachshunds and corgis) to create a sled team. I will use this sled team to pull myself around while shooting your wedding. I’m joking, unless you really want me to, in which maybe WE should get married.
