Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm the owner and lead photographer behind Taylor'd Southern Events, based in Tallahassee, Florida, and serving North Florida, South Georgia, and the beautiful Gulf Coast. I've been photographing weddings since 2012, and I still fall in love with capturing the genuine emotions and meaningful moments that make every wedding unique. My photography style is romantic, timeless, and true to life, blending beautifully guided portraits with the candid, unscripted moments you'll treasure forever. From the smallest details to the biggest celebrations, my goal is to create images that allow you to relive the joy, love, and emotion of your wedding day for generations to come.

I believe your wedding photography experience should be just as memorable as the images themselves. I intentionally accept a limited number of weddings each year to give every couple the personal attention they deserve. From creating a seamless timeline to gently guiding you through portraits and capturing the moments you didn't even realize were happening, I'm there for so much more than taking photos. My approach is warm, relaxed, and attentive, allowing you to be fully present while I document your day.     Incredible Photographer

    Lauren was awesome to work with from start to finish. She kept everything moving on our wedding day, made photos feel easy, and still gave us plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. Seeing how happy my wife was when we got our pictures back made it even better. The photos turned out incredible, and our album is something we’ll always treasure. Can’t recommend her enough!

    Lauren made us feel so loved and cared for!

    What I appreciated most about Lauren was how much she cared. She was excited for us, paid attention to the little details, and made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. Neither of us really knew what to do in front of the camera, but she gave us direction, kept us laughing, and somehow made everything feel easy. Then we got our photos back, and I couldn’t stop looking at them. There were so many little moments she caught that I hadn’t even noticed happening. The photos of the two of us are gorgeous, but seeing our favorite people laughing, tearing up, and celebrating with us means just as much. She captured how the day felt, and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. And the album! It is absolutely beautiful. I knew I loved our pictures, but seeing them come together in an album made me love them even more. We’ve already looked through it so many times. Lauren put so much care into this whole experience, and we felt that from beginning to end. I would recommend her to any bride who wants to feel taken care of and have photos she can’t wait to show everyone.

    A work of art!

    Lauren was one of our most favorite vendors! She was so amazing during the entire wedding planning. Anytime I would reach out with questions, she was so quick to respond and help with anything we needed. On the wedding day she blended in so seamlessly while capturing the most beautiful, raw and candid moments without anything ever feeling forced. When we received our final gallery, we were speechless. Every single image is a work of art that perfectly captures the emotion, love, and magic of our day. We worked Francesca to design the most beautiful wedding album and we love looking at our wedding photos every week.

    From Boudoir to Wedding Day: The Best Photographer

    Hiring Lauren as my wedding photographer was one of the best decisions I made throughout the entire wedding process. From the very beginning, she made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We did a boudoir session, a bridal session, and an engagement session before the wedding, and each one felt so effortless and fun. By the time my wedding day arrived, it felt like I was being photographed by a close friend who truly understood me. On our wedding day, it rained but Lauren never let that stop us. She embraced it with so much positivity and creativity, and somehow managed to capture the most beautiful, romantic photos that I will treasure forever. I've been photographing weddings since 2012 and became a full-time wedding photographer in 2016. Over the years, I've had the privilege of documenting countless love stories, from intimate celebrations to large, elaborate weddings. My experience allows me to confidently navigate wedding day timelines, changing lighting conditions, and unexpected moments while making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Absolutely! Many of my wedding collections include a second photographer, and one can be added to collections that don't already include one. Having two photographers allows us to capture different perspectives throughout your wedding day, from both of your getting-ready moments to multiple angles of your ceremony and all the little moments happening in between.
Yes! Creating a smooth, stress-free wedding day timeline is one of the ways I help my couples prepare for their big day. We'll work together to plan enough time for getting-ready photos, first looks, family portraits, romantic portraits, and all the special moments you've envisioned. If you're working with a wedding planner, I'll coordinate with them to make sure everything flows beautifully.
Yes! I absolutely love engagement sessions because they give us the opportunity to get to know each other before your wedding day. You'll become comfortable in front of my camera, learn how I guide you through portraits, and have beautiful photographs to celebrate this exciting season. Engagement sessions are included in select wedding collections and can also be added separately.
Absolutely! I'm based in the Tallahassee, Florida area and regularly serve couples throughout North Florida, South Georgia, and the Gulf Coast, including St. George Island, Apalachicola, 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, and Destin. I also love traveling for destination weddings! Depending on the location, additional travel accommodations or fees may apply.
Most of my couples book approximately 12–18 months before their wedding day, especially for popular spring and fall dates. I intentionally accept a limited number of weddings each year so I can provide every couple with a personalized experience. If you have your date and venue secured, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible to check availability!
Once we've discussed your wedding details and you've selected the collection that best fits your needs, I'll send over a digital contract and invoice through my online booking system. A signed contract and 25% retainer officially reserve your wedding date. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. Everything can be completed conveniently online!
Don't worry, you're definitely not alone! Most of my couples tell me they're nervous about being photographed. My approach is relaxed and natural, and I'll gently guide you through flattering poses while encouraging genuine interaction between you and your partner. You don't need to know what to do or how to pose. That's my job! My goal is for you to enjoy the experience and feel completely comfortable being yourselves.
Yes! Your wedding photographs are delivered through a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images with family and friends. Your images are professionally edited in my signature style, and you'll have access to high-resolution digital files. Professional prints, wall art, and heirloom albums are also available to help you preserve your memories beyond the screen.
Yes! I believe your wedding photographs deserve to be enjoyed for generations, not just stored on a computer. I offer beautiful, professionally designed wedding albums that tell the story of your day from beginning to end. Albums are included in select wedding collections and can also be purchased separately. I'll help guide you through the design process to create something you'll treasure forever.
