He played a VERY important role in our big day, not only as our photographer, but as our witness, sole ceremony attendee, hype man, and what felt like a friend by the end of the day. He went above and beyond our expectations, and our photo session with him was a highlight of our wedding experience. Justin is amazing at his craft, as evidenced by his work. He also has an intimate knowledge of the DC monuments, museums, and various venues that offer great photo ops, so he was very helpful in selecting the Library of Congress as the primary setting for our session post-ceremony. Once we were there, he knew all of the best rooms, corners, and angles to get the best shots. He also identified a few impromptu stops on our path to get shots with the Capitol and the Washington Monument in the background. I couldn't be happier that we were able to get such amazing photos in front of the most iconic spots in DC. Beyond the beautiful photos, Justin has an infectious energy and is so much fun to be around. He will put you at ease while coaching you through poses, and he makes the whole thing so much fun. Some pictures we got back had this really cool blurry effect on them which made them look very whimsical. “Even before the wedding day Bhanu was thoughtful and intentional about making sure he would capture our story. Planning a wedding with mostly DIY elements to it, Bhanu was helpful in providing a suggested day-of timeline and also being accomodating on the actual wedding day. For the photography, he gave me and my husband plenty of time to naturally spend time together away from the crowd to take in the moment. He took both natural and guided poses to create a gallery of the most precious photos. As a lover of all art forms, I was especially appreciative of the natural photos of our wedding guests and the gorgeous sunset couple shoot we did as the evening drew to a close. “I don’t even know where to begin. Ciana is not only so sweet, kind, and personable, but she is also incredibly talented and creative. Her assistant Ryan is equally as great and fun and they make the most perfect team! Together they make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We have used them twice, yet it feels like we have known them forever. The first time was for our pregnancy announcement session. Ciana and Ryan literally braved the windy 35 degree weather with gusts up to 40mph with us to help us capture photos to announce this special time in our lives to friends & family. I was so worried the insane wind would ruin our photos, but Ciana reassured me that they would still turn out perfect despite the conditions and to trust her. I truly don’t know how she did it, because they turned out absolutely perfect and beautiful. She truly knows how to capture the raw and genuine moments between a couple. We cared most about the small, beautiful, candid moments people share with one another on a wedding day and Sam captured all of it. He has a magical way of capturing emotions and making everything seem like it is in motion. We had a small family wedding and Sam immersed himself into the day and our families. It was so wonderful. He did the work of three photographers and I'm still not sure how he accomplished it all! More than that, he was there for every little thing we needed. Extra bluetooth speaker? Sam was on it. “Truly there are not enough nice things to say about Aleyna!!!! First of all, I really appreciated how transparent her prices were. It's all there on zola and her website. Nothing hidden or sneaky or added on later - her prices are not only exactly as advertised but criminally reasonable. When it comes to something like an engagement shoot (which is what we hired Aleyna for), she was able to capture the ideal balance between staying true to her own style as a photographer and achieving the vision we had in mind for our photos. She met us at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore and it felt both like a professional photo shoot and like a fun afternoon at my favorite museum. She followed us around, chatted with us, and captured a ridiculous amount of high-quality photos. And the photos... the photos!!!!! Seriously they came out like artwork! When I first looked at them I felt like I should be looking at them in the museum! She gave us so many perfect, stunning photos that were even better than the Pinterest board I showed her. Originally I planned on selecting a few stand out photos from the shoot and keeping the rest digital, but she did such a fabulous amazing show-stopping incredible job that I plan on making them into a photo book and using it as a guest book for the wedding. My Maid of Honor is using them as decor for the bridal shower. They're all over the website. People who see them GASP! TL;DR I am obsessed with the photos that Aleyna gave me and going forward will be hiring her anytime I need a photographer (don't mind me just googling excuses to hire a photographer).
