“Where do we even start! From the very first email, Colin was such a calming and supportive presence throughout the whole wedding planning process. Anytime I had a question or worry (which I had a few), he was right there with reassurance and quick answers - even when I’d email him late at night, he somehow would respond within minutes! That kind of responsiveness and care meant so much to us, especially in the week leading up to the wedding with things get hectic. He went above and beyond for our rehearsal, helping us run through every detail and setting up mics and speakers so efficiently that everything flowed seamlessly. It gave us such a peace of mind knowing he had everything under control. On the wedding day, Colin handled two complete sound setups - his wireless one for our outdoor ceremony and his main for the reception - and both were absolutely flawless! The sound quality was perfect the entire day; guests could hear every word of our ceremony and every speech crystal clear. There wasn’t a single hiccup. Then came one of the biggest surprises of the night - cold sparks! Colin and my husband had planned them without me knowing, and it was truly one of my favorite parts of the evening. It made our first dance feel straight out of a movie and the photos from that moment are unreal. If anyone is on the fence about adding cold sparks - DO IT! You won’t regret it. The Photo Booth was a huge hit with our guests! Colin recently upgraded with a printer which people were obsessed with being able to take home their photos (a little built in favor). It kept guests entertained all night long and added such a fun, interactive element to our reception. What really stood out though, was how Colin and his wife (who was his wonderful assistant that day) made everything so personal. They were professional yet warm, blending right into the crowd and truly feeling like family celebrating alongside us. Colin kept the energy flowing, a smooth timeline, and the dance floor full all night long. Looking back, we can’t imagine our day without Sound Love. Colin helped make everything easy, stress-free, and so much fun. Our DJ was Jorden. Jorden was absolutely wonderful. He was super friendly and did an amazing job we had a couple small mix ups and he was so quick at fixing the problems that no one even noticed. He did an amazing job with following the schedule and making sure everything was prepared ahead of time. He did a great job reading the crowd and making sure everyone was having a great time! I am so happy with their service!”

“Funktastic Productions Llc. was an absolute hit at our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, friendly, and super detailed - they clearly cared about making our day perfect. And that's exactly what they delivered. I chose to have live piano and violin at my ceremony and they sounded beautiful together. They played every song I requested with depth and precision- even the fairly new music (I requested Birds of a Feather for the recessional, and they NAILED it!) They provided mics to the musicians and the officiant stand, which ended up being a lifesaver for us. The DJ and violinist were both fun and talented, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. DJ Servaun in particular did an amazing job matching the vibes, emceeing, and balancing in the moment song requests with a killer playlist. Get the DJ with Musician accompaniment package!! The electric violin player lit up the dance floor & guests LOVED it! Quote: “Best wedding I’ve ever been to! I’ve never been to a wedding where ‘Not Like Us’ got a violin accompaniment”. I also used Funktastic for our photobooth service and it was one of the most popular parts of the wedding. People lined up at one point to take pics- and I was thrilled with the quality of the designs and service. Funktastic Productions provided incredible value and high quality entertainment that made our wedding celebration truly unforgettable. We can't recommend them enough!”

Family-owned since 2014, we're a collection of Chicago's finest voices and players, and your night should sound like you — not the wedding down the street. No generic playlists. Every setlist is built from scratch. We scale from 6 to 15 pieces with ceremony strings, cocktail jazz, DJ hybrids, photo booths, and lighting, plus a music app that makes planning easy. Hundreds of weddings in, a full dance floor still gets us.

“They say a dream is a wish your heart makes, and Erica was truly a dream to have at my wedding, not only as a musician, but as a warm and kind presence. The very first time I spoke with Erica I just fell in love with her warmth, kindness, professionalism and confidence. We laughed so much on the first call I knew immediately I had to hire her. After the call, my fiancé said that musician you spoke with made you so happy you better just hurry up and hire her. I never even spoke to another musician…I knew none could even come close to Erica. I hired Erica in July for my December Disney wedding. I never felt rushed, overwhelmed or anything stressful. Erica is so kind, her voice is ethereal and she knows how to read a room. She even recommended an amazing officiant to me when I was struggling to find one. Erica was the hit of my wedding, when she started singing to open the ceremony a bird flew up to her, perched next to her and sang with her. Even the bird wanted to be close to her and felt her kindness. This was the most beautiful moment and my guests are still talking about it. I wanted a Disney/Christmas wedding theme and Erica delivered in every aspect. She was also beautifully dressed and looked gorgeous (nobody wants sloppy vendors lol). Erica created the perfect atmosphere by intertwining romantic Disney music as well as Christmas songs. Erica made the wedding a dream come true. The fact that she is well known also helps, as most vendors and venues love working with her. She learned a few new songs for me and worked seamlessly with my other vendors to create the perfect, yes absolutely perfect, day. Thank you Erica! You are a true star!”
