After contacting numerous DJs, we found that many were slow to respond, lacked transparent pricing, or spent more time trying to upsell us on extras we didn't want than learning about our vision. Communication was prompt and effortless, his pricing was fair and transparent, and he offered everything we were looking for, including sound systems for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as attending our rehearsal to ensure the ceremony music went smoothly. The true measure of a great wedding vendor, though, is how they handle the unexpected. During our reception, a miscommunication left our wedding coordinator absent for much of the evening. Starting with our planning call it was clear we were in great hands with Kelton, who helped us figure out the finer details of our plan, and made a couple of recommendations that helped us make the day even better. On the day he showed up early to make sure things were set up properly (something our venue and planner were particularly appreciative of), ran the mics for the ceremony which went off without a hitch (except for the obligatory sirens during our vows), and played amazing music all night long. We had assembled hours and hours of playlists — it felt like Kelton intuited all of the important songs and played them at the right time — everything was flawless. Most importantly, it felt like Kelton loved being a part of our day — chatting with us and the other guests and vendors, taking photos and videos. He kept the good vibes going all night. “Neal is the G.O.A.T! He was one of our absolute favorite vendors to work with and played such a huge role in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be. From the very beginning, Neal was thoughtful, professional, incredibly accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the music feel like us. He went above and beyond by creating custom mixes for our parent dances, and they turned out absolutely perfectly. He also handled the audio for our ceremony, and the microphones and speakers were flawless! Every word could be heard clearly, there were no technical difficulties despite this being a completely outdoor wedding, and we never had to worry about a thing. The cocktail hour and reception was just as incredible. Neal played every song we wanted, completely understood the atmosphere we were going for, and kept our dance floor packed all night. The volume of every song was also perfect and we had so many guests compliment the music both during and after the wedding, which says everything! He knew exactly how to read the room and keep the energy going while still making sure the music felt personal to us. Beyond being an amazing DJ, Neal was simply such a pleasure to have as part of our wedding day. It was our absolute pleasure to work with Jeremy for our wedding day and I don’t know how, but we’re going to find a reason to work with him again as soon as we can. “We had an amazing experience with DJ Brian for our wedding! He was fantastic both as our DJ and MC and we felt like everything was handled so seamlessly throughout the day. For our ceremony, he coordinated directly with our coordinator to make sure the processional and ceremony timing went smoothly. We also had specific songs we wanted played at specific moments throughout the wedding and he nailed all of those cues. One of the highlights was our Battle of the Brothers game during the reception. We had a specific idea for how we wanted the game to work, but we didn't even have to walk him through how to engage the crowd — he immediately knew how to host it and keep everyone involved. Our guests were incredibly engaged and it ended up being one of the most fun moments of the reception. For the dancing, while he didn't end up playing every song we had specifically requested, there was someone on the dance floor pretty much the entire night, which says a lot about how well he read the room! He was professional, easy to work with, and did a great job keeping the energy going while also making sure the important moments of the evening happened smoothly. “The energy, showmanship, hype, and FUN that 24K Event Band brought to our wedding reception was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I can't even count how many guests have told us, weeks and months after our wedding, how incredible they were. Our dance floor was packed all night long, and when the band was on their (well-deserved) break, Korey stayed out and led the crowd in the Cupid Shuffle!! When I think about what made our wedding day so special, I think about 24K. You know him as DJ Casanova, but around the office, we just call him Jamie. Back in the day, he was just a child of immigrants recording his favorite songs over his parent’s cassette tapes (sorry Mom and Dad) so he could listen to them on his prized Walkman. Jamie entered the DJ field in 2009, and before long he was spinning something at a different party every week. Pretty soon he realized that sharing his love of music with like-minded folks was more than just a hobby, it was a gift.

“DJ Casanova was recommended to us by our venue and we could not have been happier with our decision to have him DJ our wedding reception. He is extremely organized and responsive. He shared a wedding planning sheet with us that allowed us to build our timeline and reception playlist. He also allowed us to create our own playlists for cocktail hour and dinner music (though he has some of his own playlists that we 'stole' some songs from too). What really made DJ Casanova stand out was that he met with us virtually (we don't live in the DMV area) multiple times before our wedding. His main focus during the first session was to learn about us as individuals and a couple, as well as our families. The second session was focused on logistics, name pronunciations, etc. He was extremely receptive to our requests and made the wedding day exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests asked us how we found our DJ because they were so blown away with the musical selections he played and how friendly he was during the reception. We give our highest recommendation!”

“Hiring DJ Don X was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We were a little nervous about blending my vibrant Nigerian culture with Ben's family's background for a truly unified party. We needed a DJ who could be a cultural translator, a party starter, and a vibe curator. DJ Don X exceeded every expectation. From our initial consultation, he was invested. He asked thoughtful questions about specific Highlife, Afrobeats, and Afro-pop songs that were important to my family, and he was equally enthusiastic about incorporating classic rock and indie hits that spoke to Ben's side. He crafted a timeline that honored traditions like the money spray (which he announced perfectly to ensure all guests understood the joyful significance) while keeping the energy electric and inclusive. “Jason was great throughout the whole process! He was great at communicating and making sure he had all of the songs that we wanted (and didn’t) throughout the night. He also did a great job at adjusting the songs played based off of what our guests responded well to so people were on the dance floor all the time which I loved!! He collected a bunch of photos from us and displayed them on a screen that’s built into his DJ booth (I don’t know what it’s called) and many guests came up to us to specifically tell us that they loved seeing our pictures of us and our relationship as well as pics of us growing up. It’s something I don’t even think of doing, but Jason offered and I’m so glad he did! He also set up a photo booth that was very popular. He was great at making sure that things that I needed were just taken care of and went out of his way to coordinate with my wedding planner and kept me in the loop which I appreciated. “Kelton from Marquee Artists was amazing! He was a communicative and active participant in the planning of the music and the announcements at my wedding on March 9. Kelton provided an extensive list of potential songs to play in a shared Google Document with columns for “play” and “do not play” which was great. Also, I was impressed that he attended the walk through of the Whittemore House a month prior to the wedding, asking pertinent questions of the Whittemore staff about the placement of various things and how best to provide the sound amplification that would be needed. He provided wireless mics which worked really well for the toasts. Kelton did a great job as the master of ceremony and his mix of the selected music was fun and fabulous. He had the crowd dancing, rocking to the music. Many of the older folks told me that they hadn’t danced in years but were having lots of fun doing so then. Having him on our wedding team instilled so much confidence in me, my daughter and new son-in-law, who is an amateur DJ. They were so taken by Kelton that, if possible, they would like to attend future events at which Kelton is the DJ!! I HIGHLY recommend him.”
