My daughter and her husband chose Milton Ridge for their wedding venue. I live on the opposite coast so I had no opportunity to have a look myself. She and her husband were very happy with the layout of the property and the location. She assured me that staff were warm and friendly as well as very professional and that all questions were addressed promptly and in great detail. My daughter and her husband felt listened to and respected by everyone at Milton Ridge. I was anxious but it was their wedding and they had done a lot of research! I am overjoyed that they chose Milton Ridge for their very special day!! I spoke to many guests and family members that day and evening; everyone had high praise for the couple’s choice of venue. The property is self-contained with a beautiful turn of the century chapel on the lower level of the property and a very large bricked patio on the upper level; with an enormous wooden gazebo at one end and tiered garden area at the opposite end. Indoor or outdoor wedding?? Hard to choose as both areas are sooooo lovely. The Bridal suite and Grooms quarter are in a building adjacent to the chapel on the lower level of the property. Another turn of the century building with Bridal suite, porch and porch swing on the ground level and the Grooms quarters on the 2nd level via a private enclosed stairway; providing total privacy for both parties and their respective entourages. Both areas were very well appointed, comfortable and large; plenty of room for multiple people in each area to get ready for the big day! The Reception Hall was on the upper level with a porch and short stairway leading from the hall to the outdoor patio. The Hall was fresh and bright with plenty of room for DJ, tables, dance floor, bar and buffet without feeling overfilled or crowded. Bride and Groom chose the bar-b-que menu for their dinner; it was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful. No one left Milton Ridge hungry that evening! The wait staff and bartenders were all very attentive and had obviously been very well trained at table service and bar service respectively. Music was provided by a DJ who was contracted by Milton Ridge and was included with the package that my daughter and her husband had chosen. The selection was a mix of old and new with the focus of getting the guests up and dancing. He was very good at his job and he accomplished his goal! Last but definitely not least; the photographer; also contracted with Milton Ridge! He was amazing!!! The unique shots, quality and beauty of his work left us speechless. He was everywhere, but never in the way, always inconspicuous and watching for that perfect candid shot. Even his posed photos had a very relaxed casual look about them. All photos were organized and available to the newlyweds on the Milton Ridge website within 10days of their wedding day!! ALL pictures belong to her and her husband to print, copy and share with whoever they wish!! Milton Ridge exceeded my expectation and I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone!!

Having just passed our one year anniversary, we are beyond thrilled at the lifelong memory we created having our wedding at Old Farm Winery! From our first site visit on a rainy, December day, we knew the space would be beautiful for a spring wedding. Right away, we felt the space would perfectly capture our vision while also being the perfect size for our day. Caroline and her team were extremely communicative and worked hard to appreciate the aspects that made our wedding unique. Plus, we really valued having the whole side of the property to ourselves the entire day - something other wineries can’t provide. Some notes about how we used the space: The upstairs rooms were perfect for getting ready (the bridesmaids added on morning hours to get ready on-site), and the porch was the ideal space for our first look! Our Wedding Party also fit perfectly into a first floor room for our Ketubah signing ceremony. At our 60-day walkthrough, Caroline and her team presented a few options for our ceremony layout - We loved having our ceremony facing the big tree. Caroline and her team were also flexible accommodating our homemade Chuppah. We had to have a band play our reception (we loved Bachelor Boys!), and having a band, buffet and 12 10-person tables was the right amount for the space. We opted against a defined dance floor and didn’t miss it at all. Miscellaneous thoughts: Old Farm is drone-approved, and our videographer captured gorgeous scenic shots of the property! We chose one of the suggested caterers. Double check they have a license to serve in Virginia, otherwise they can walk you through the one-day licensing process to purchase drinks and have them serve on your behalf. Busses transporting guests might suggest multiple, smaller seaters to best navigate the parking lot. We had 3 34-seat busses instead of 2 55-seaters. Additionally, the venue does not allow open flames at all (even under glass votives), so we used flameless votives. The wine is delicious, and we had no trouble hitting our minimum! We had a beautiful wedding our family and friends are still talking about. Our guests had so much fun, and we felt at ease planning the day of our lives knowing the staff at Old Farm was professional, kind and on-top-of every aspect of our day. We intentionally chose a venue we could come back to in future years, and look forward to future trips to the Old Farm tasting room. One additional note: my out-of-town parents flew in for New Years leading up to our May wedding and visited the property unannounced the following day. The staff warmly gave them a private tour of the entire space and a drink in the tasting room. My parents loved the first-class, gracious service, which helped confirm to my wife and I that we made the right choice.

We got married at Briar Patch in October 2024 and I cannot say enough about how wonderful the venue was and how kind and communicative the venue owners were. Any time we had questions they were so quick to answer. I loved that we could have any vendors we wanted, but they also provided a list of wonderful recommendations. The price was also wonderful for the area! Having the venue for the whole weekend was such a great experience for our whole bridal party who stayed onsite.

Leesburg, VA

Three generations of the Huber family have considered Hogback Mountain their home, celebrating some of their most cherished memories on the property. With a commitment to hospitality and the rich agrarian traditions of Western Loudoun, the Huber family hoped to share the beautiful views and property with others to enjoy their big life moments and preserve the land’s agricultural beauty. What our land is capable of producing is a beautiful blend of new and old world styles; complex, age-worthy wines that tell a story, stories that deserve to be shared. For the Hubers and the STW team, producing world-class wines handcrafted from our estate vines is the ultimate goal.
