Chez Serendip is a historic redwood estate and regenerative farm nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, designed for intimate, intentional weddings rooted in beauty, nature, and connection. Set on six acres of old-growth redwoods, gardens, and animal-filled land, the property blends thoughtfully restored historic structures with natural gathering spaces that feel warm, soulful, and quietly magical. We host a limited number of weddings each year to preserve the land and the experience. Couples love the sense of privacy, the grounding presence of the redwoods, and the feeling that their celebration is being held by a place with history and heart. Great Wedding Venue
I’ve had the chance to work events and DJ at Chez Serendip, and it’s one of those venues that immediately puts both vendors and couples at ease. The space is beautiful without feeling overproduced, great flow, great energy, and thoughtfully designed for real celebrations, not just photos. The team cares deeply about the people and the moments happening in the room, and that shows every time. I’d absolutely recommend Chez Serendip to couples looking for a venue that supports creativity, connection, and an unforgettable party.
Great setting and team
Very warm and welcoming environment with a lot of interesting history. Alisa and Shawn are great hosts and just awesome people in general. With how hard they have been working on this property and every endeavor they set out on, it's safe to say you can expect nothing less than a 5 star experience whether it's a wedding, retreat, AirBnB stay, or one of the many different events they host at their space.
Unique venue, incredible staff
I got a chance to tour the venue a couple months back and I was super impressed with the vision of the founders and how unique the venue is. It really want to improve the world and build community with their work and it's obviously not just for the money, like many venues. I think Che Serendip would be splendid for any types of events and especially weddings. I really look forward to playing there soon!
