Our team brings together unique wedding-day “super powers.” Leela (Owner & Lead Coordinator) is a wedding professional with over a decade of experience curating large-scale events and five years in the wedding industry. Brenda (Coordinator & Decor) brings the artistic vision and a keen eye for detail, backed by three years of wedding experience. Amber (Hair Stylist & Assistant Coordinator) contributes two decades of cosmetology expertise alongside three years in event coordination. Julia (Coordinator) is a master wedding coordinator with three years of wedding industry experience, known for her precision and calm presence.

Leela and her team are absolutely incredible!
Spruced Up Designs was absolutely essential to helping our wedding day go smoothly. Even though Leela was our "day of" coordinator, she initiated communication with us months in advance to check in, get us thinking about details we hadn't considered yet, and plan a time to see the venue together. At our venue walkthrough, she was super prepared and came with questions for the event manager that we would never know to consider. Leading up to the wedding, she took over all communication with vendors, providing them with information about parking, load in, timelines, etc. Leela also helped run our rehearsal, which was super helpful as we had a large bridal party to manage. On the day of the wedding, Leela and her assistant Julia did an incredible job of getting everyone where they needed to be at the right time. We felt so at ease knowing that they were there to help. They stayed calm even in the busiest moments, which greatly helped all of us stay calm too. Our family and bridal party even noted to us how comfortable they felt working with Julia and Leela. In addition to organizing the wedding day, they put out all of our decorations, and everything was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. They also cleaned up towards the end of the event, made sure the venue was happy with how the room looked before they left, and put all the decorations back in our bridal suite. Their assistance with take-down was an immense help for us and our families. There are so many amazing things we could say about Leela, Julia, and Spruced Up Designs. There is no one else we would trust as fully to help with our wedding. We truly recommend them to each and every Chicago couple!

They took so many tasks off our plate and handled everything independently, which freed us up to actually enjoy the planning process instead of stressing about logistics. AMAZING
Leela was an amazing day-of coordinator. She was responsive, took initiative, and was so thoughtful and kind throughout the whole process. Going into the wedding, I still had some unfinished logistics, and the moment the day began, Leela took all of it off my plate. She did an amazing job setting up the venue and decor, handled last-minute dietary restrictions, resolved vendor setup conflicts I hadn’t had time to sort out beforehand, and adjusted the schedule in real time to whatever made the most sense. I never had to worry about a thing. Having someone so capable and calm in charge meant I could actually be present and enjoy our day. I’d recommend Leela to anyone looking for a coordinator they can fully trust. Thank you, Leela!

Amazing Team!
From start to finish, Leela at Spruced Up Designs was a dream to work with. She made herself available whenever we had questions and truly listened to what we wanted for our day. On the wedding day itself, she kept reassuring us and made sure my mom and I felt calm and taken care of. Leela and her team brought our vision to life in ways we couldn't have imagined on our own. The Perfect, Stress-Free Experience!
To be quite honest, our initial search for a day-of-coordinator was out of necessity because our venue required a planner or day-of-coordinator. But after how amazing of a job Leela did and how she treated us coming up to the wedding and also on the day. We are so grateful that we booked with Leela and the Spruced Up team. Leela's communication was extremely clear and instant, and "instant" in NOT an exaggeration. Whenever we had a logistic question or even asked for some planning/decorating advice, she was extremely prompt and helpful. Due to the nature of our timeline, Leela and her team only had a couple hours to decorate our entire venue. She told us it won't be a problem, and we trusted her. When we entered our fully decorated venue for the first time, we were absolutely stunned. Leela took all our instructions and executed them perfectly. The venue looked exactly, if not better than how we imagined/planned. Leela also made sure the whole day stayed on time, but didn't stress out when things would go slightly not as planned. She would calmly adjust to the situation as needed. Everyone also treated us so kindly on the day as to keep us as stress free as possible. Also, for a very reasonable additional fee, Leela's team also tears down and packs everything up at the end of the night. We would HIGHLY recommend this add-on because the last thing you want to do after your big day is to clean and pack... Leela made our night organized, beautiful, stress-free, easy, and PERFECT. On top of all that, we found her pricing is extremely competitive. We can't recommend Spruced Up Designs enough!
