A deposit and a signed contract is required. The deposit does go towards your bridal services. No date is held without a deposit. We work on a first-come-first service basis.
Chanel J and team will travel to your home, hotel, or venue. Travel fees may apply, depending on the location.
Chanel J recommends booking your trial as early as possible. Since Chanel J books up to 2-years in advance, she wants to ensure that your date remains available for you. The sooner you do your trial and book Chanel J, the better!
Trials are taken place in a bridal suite at our home based in Naperville IL. Since Chanel J travel globally, your trial will be at a bridal suite location near you!

    Horrible Experience

    Our experience was extremely disappointing. We booked three stylists, but only two arrived, and they were not the stylists we were told to expect. The delays caused my wife to be late getting ready, which meant we missed all of our family photos before the ceremony—memories we can never get back. We were also told a third stylist was on the way, but she never arrived. The quality of the hairstyling was equally disappointing. My wife’s hairpiece kept slipping throughout the day, the extensions caused significant discomfort, and the hairstyle she requested (Hollywood waves) was not what she received. To make matters worse, the owner, who had committed to doing her hair personally, handed it off to someone else midway through. After we reached out about these issues, she acknowledged the problems and offered a small refund, but then stopped responding and never followed through. The lack of accountability and communication was just as disappointing as the service itself.

    Indian engagement

    We had booked Chanel and her team to do my family and my makeup for an event. We chose the hair, makeup, and saree draping package. I will say the hair and makeup she did on myself was great. I received many compliments. She had an assistant to do my family members hair but Chanel had to intervene and re-adjust a family members hairstyle to improve it. My mom’s makeup was orange and I had to go in and adjust it with my mom’s own makeup. She advertises saree draping and she said she has a person on her team that has experience and that this person has numerous drawings. I had asked for pictures of the stylists' previous work for a peace of mind. However, she sent photos of clients of the work done by a different saree draper who I personally know. She literally took pictures from another drapists work and claimed it as her own. On the day of, the stylist had no idea what she was doing and my family members had to guide her throughout the whole draping process and pretty much do it themselves. She advertised a touch up bag for myself and my three other family members and we never received that. For the price she charged, I would say it was not worth it especially with how much my family members had to fix their makeup and sarees themselves.

    Do not recommend

    Working with Chanel was actually the worst part of my wedding day. I was trying to stay calm after everything she put me through because I did not want to let this one person ruin my wedding day. She was so unresponsive day before my wedding when trying to get a timeline as I had 5 bridesmaids. I booked Chanel in 2024 which gave her enough time to get her schedule in order but then last minute had to hire another artist Brooke to help her out. Mind you Chanel didn’t even touch any of the other bridesmaids just did the bride. If it wasn’t for Brooke coming into help with makeup we would have been screwed. Seems like Chanel double booked herself and made it an hour and 40 minutes LATE! Which is insane! She never gave an explanation or apology. The service was sub-par honestly, I had to get someone else to touch up my make-up after she left. I was trying to be as calm and nice but I was very anxious as we had a schedule to go off on. Honestly all of this was so unprofessional and even her other makeup artist said they would never operate like how Chanel was operating. I would not recommend Brushed Agency or working with Chanel again. She kept mentioning that the bride experience needed to be great to my wedding planner but SHE WAS THE ONE CAUSING THE STRESS.
