Everything from budget and design to vendor meetings, we offer unlimited email support and 9 essential planner meetings. Enjoy access to your customized planning portal for you and your partner as well as 12 hours of wedding day coverage from your planner as well as a full-day planning assistant, so you can relax and enjoy your big day.

    Best Wedding Planner!

    Where do I even begin?! Hiring Melissa and the Knot Too Shabby Team as our wedding planner was hands down one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding planning process. We got married in April 2026, and I truly cannot imagine our wedding day without them! From the very beginning, Melissa made us feel supported, organized, and completely at ease. Planning a wedding can (and will!) feel overwhelming, but she somehow made the entire process enjoyable. She thought of every little detail, answered every question we had, and always made us feel like we were her top priority! On our wedding day, we were able to be fully present because I knew Melissa had everything under control. Every vendor was exactly where they needed to be, the timeline ran seamlessly, and if anything unexpected happened, I never knew about it because she handled everything behind the scenes. That peace of mind is something you simply can't put a price on. Beyond being an incredible planner, Melissa is such a kind and genuine person. She truly cares about her couples and pours her heart into making sure your wedding day is everything you've dreamed of and more. Looking back on our wedding, everything felt effortless - and that's because Melissa worked tirelessly to make it that way.     The Absolute Best Decision We Made!

    Melissa is simply amazing. I have never met someone as organized and detailed as she is. While wedding planning is notoriously stressful, working with Melissa made the entire process easy. She provided expert advice and guidance on everything from the large, high-stakes decisions down to the most granular details. She answered our millions of questions with ease, which really speaks to her dedication and years of experience. She provided all the necessary templates and tools we needed to keep us organized and on track. You can truly tell she genuinely cares and works incredibly hard to make your dream come true. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Melissa and her staff operated like a well oiled machine. They were helpful, courteous, and supportive, with every single team member working to make the day magical. They were so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. By the end of the process, Melissa became more than a wedding planner, she became a friend. When the wedding was over, we were actually sad because we realized we wouldn't be seeing her as much as we had over the last year!     Choosing to work with Melissa for our Sept. 25' wedding was the best wedding decision we could have made. From our very first conversation, Melissa was warm, bubbly, easy to connect with, and incredibly receptive to us and all of our ideas. Throughout the entire wedding planning process she truly listened, understood our vision, and helped us shape it into something even more beautiful than we imagined. While working with Melissa, what stood out most to us was how deeply we trusted her. My mom and I are both opinionated, detail-oriented, and typically very hands-on perfectionists - yet on the wedding day, we were shockingly calm, relaxed, and fully present.     Professional, Organized and Dependable

    Wedding planning can be stressful but dare I say, Melissa made it fun? She is so skilled and competent at what she does that you can’t help but relax. If you want honest advice, she will give it to you. If you don’t know what you want, she’ll guide you through all the options. If you know exactly what you want, she will support you and take care of all the mundane details. Melissa was there on the big day and ensured that my daughter’s wedding ran smoothly. So you think you need just Day-Of help and you plan to do everything else? We, too, remember when we thought we could provide quality service and ensure your day runs smoothly with “just day-of” involvement. A professional wedding planner knows that “day-of coordination" is a fairy tale. To properly handle the logistics of your day and keep your head of hair intact prior to the wedding day, our minimum level of involvement is Wedding Management. With Wedding Management, we’ll set you up with the tools and tips for success and then “take the wheel” 30 days prior to your event, and believe us, you’re going to want to give up the wheel by then.
Well, the answer is in their title. A Venue Coordinator’s #1 client is the venue - not YOU! Not only will we ensure the details of your DAY are planned out including location changes, transportation to-and-from, and what your morning or evening will look like before-and-after the wedding, we’ll provide you advice throughout the planning process including etiquette, attire, ​and etc.

Upon agreeing to contractual enter into business with KTSE, we will require a 10% deposit and a signed contract to secure your date. The remaining amount due will be split up into monthly payments. When you book with KTSE, you’ll get a customized online portal that will provide you payment reminders and invoices. You can conveniently pay online or you can mail a check to PO Box 1467, Wilmington, NC 28402.​​
