As your straightforward sounding board, we'll help you narrow down your Pins and hear out your dreams. (Heck, we'll even dream with you.) And we'll help you navigate your feelings, ideas and even your mom! But you should also know that if one of your ideas won’t really work – or there is a better way to approach your idea, we’re going to tell you that too! Because, trust us, you might think a trolley filled with your wedding party is a great idea. But the air conditioning of a bus is better than diesel fumes any day - especially during summer in the city.

Your Been There Done That Experts With us, you've got a " been there, done that" expert in your corner who understands the world of events. Someone diplomatic - who knows how and when to speak up to get things done tactfully. We'll listen to your concerns and make sure they're handled. We'll walk into your venue with big smiles and 40 extra copies of the most recent/correct floor plan. And we'll communicate with the venue, vendors and day-of team to make sure your wants and needs are honored. Basically, we’ve got your back ALL day in ALL ways!

Our elevated coordination begins 4 to 6 months before your wedding. You get a custom planning portal, timeline support, vendor guidance, and a team that steps in early to keep everything organized. On wedding day, we run the show so you can be fully present and blissfully stress-free.

    Best wedding planner

    HBIC is the wedding planner I would go to again and again. Diane knows every wedding vendor out there and it is her personal mission to ensure you get matched with the best one for you. On our wedding day, she made the entire day run seamlessly, we never for a second had to worry about anyone or anything. One of our biggest highlights the next morning was that everything went seamlessly- that was all Diane working behind the scenes to make sure we had the best day, and we absolutely did!!

    Amazing!

    I cannot say enough amazing things about HBIC! From start to finish, they made the wedding planning process feel so much more organized, manageable, and stress-free. My planning coordinator was Caitlyn, and I had an extra day-of helper, Kate, and both were absolutely incredible. One of my favorite things about HBIC is that you have someone helping you four months out, rather than waiting until the month or month and a half before your wedding to meet your coordinator. Having Caitlyn involved throughout the planning process was so helpful. We had bi-monthly Zoom meetings where she helped me stay on track, answer questions, talk through details, and make sure nothing was falling through the cracks. Their online planning platform is also AMAZING. It is incredibly detailed and gives you a roadmap for everything you need to do leading up to your wedding. And I mean everything- the checklist is detailed enough to include things like “whiten your teeth” and “pack your underwear.” It honestly made me feel like there was nothing that could possibly be forgotten because every little detail was accounted for. Even if you are someone who likes to be very hands-on with your own planning, the platform is an incredible resource to guide you along the way. Then, on the actual wedding day, having Kate and Caitlyn there was a game changer. They coordinated all of the setup, managed our vendors, handled all of the little details throughout the day, and oversaw the breakdown at the end of the night. It was such a relief knowing that someone else was keeping track of everything and communicating with vendors so that I didn't have to. What I especially loved about HBIC was that I could have a very hands-on approach to planning while still having a completely hands-off approach on my wedding day. I got to be involved in all of the planning and decisions leading up to the wedding, but when August 1st finally came, I seriously didn't worry about a thing. I could enjoy every moment with my husband, family, and friends knowing that HBIC had everything under control. If you are considering a wedding coordinator, I would HIGHLY recommend HBIC. The combination of the detailed planning platform, ongoing support, and incredible day-of coordination made such a huge difference in our wedding experience. They truly allowed me to enjoy my wedding instead of worrying about it!

    Truly the HBIC!

    Diane was worth absolutely every penny and truly the HBIC! She made sure every single detail was considered for our weekend and it could not have gone as smoothly as it did without her. She was able to facilitate decisions between myself, my wife, and the mothers (not an easy feat). She gave us space and considered all of our requests while being realistic towards budget and logistics. On wedding day, her and her team were absolute lifesavers and allowed the family to enjoy the day and not worry about anything. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you, Diane!

    Diane at HBIC - the goat!

    Diane was the wedding planner of my dreams! From day one, I knew we were in good hands. She has a no BS approach that we knew would serve us well when talking to vendors during early wedding planning, but especially during crunch time and on the wedding day itself. She was involved in every single logistical aspect of the day (as well as staying for every single moment of the day and even after the after party) and as a bride, I was truly at ease on my wedding day because of her. She gave advice but also supported our decisions along the way. Cannot recommend her enough, she helped make our wedding day the best day of our lives!

    Ten stars for HBIC!

    I truly cannot recommend HBIC Weddings enough! Veronica was an absolute star from start to finish. We began bi-weekly calls about four months before our wedding and moved to weekly calls as we got closer, and I felt completely supported and organized every step of the way. On our wedding day, we had an incredible team of THREE - Veronica, Christina, and Davis - and everything went off without a hitch. They handled so much behind-the-scenes vendor coordination and logistics that I genuinely don't know how I would have done it without them. Even for our "smaller" wedding of about 80 guests at a restaurant, having professional coordination was absolutely invaluable. I was able to actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about timelines, vendors, or what needed to happen next. Worth every penny, and I would hire HBIC again in a heartbeat!

A venue coordinator manages only the items that pertain to a specific venue. This often includes food and beverage services, servers, bartenders, staffing, and on-site facilities. Sometimes a couple may not meet their venue coordinator until well after they book their venue. A wedding planner manages all aspects of the wedding weekend and is on-site at both the getting ready location & off-site ceremony. As your planner, our job is to orchestrate the entire event from start to finish, making sure the planning and wedding experience is as stress-free as possible. And leaving you to simply enjoy the day.
What makes us unique is how involved we are! We don't merely make recommendations or suggestions and then just help you implement your plans. We are your partner throughout the entire process. We are with you selecting vendors, confirming the details & contracts. And we will manage all of the moving parts. Of course, you get to be part of the fun decision-making details, but we will handle the logistics so you can enjoy your engagement. Heads up, we tend to get involved in the nitty-gritty details that may be too much for other planners to mess with.

Once we learn the scope of your plans - along with all of your wishes, desires & concerns - we'll offer some custom options that are the right fit for you. Instead of sending you a generic single option of Full Planning, Partial Planning, or Day of Coordination, after our conversation, we'll write a proposal that gives you 3 variations of planning packages (& pricing) tailor-made to your needs, not ours. Over the years, we've been lucky to have worked on weddings of all shapes and sizes. We've worked weddings with as few as 16 guests and others with as many as 400! We’ve had the pleasure to work with same-sex couples and have hosted a double wedding as well! And we've helped with weddings that have spanned religions and cultural boundaries - from interfaith to traditional Chinese tea ceremonies. In other words, there isn’t much we haven't seen!
Absolutely! Very involved! We want you BOTH to be part of the decision-making process. The more opinions and ideas you contribute, the better we can design and mastermind for you. Your wedding is personal to you, so it should look like the two of you created it together. Ultimately, we are here to implement and execute your vision! Even if you are incredibly busy with work, school, or family, we will make sure that you are still involved in making your own decisions. We will just provide more guidance and suggestions to make the process simple. So, if time-saving is what you need, that's what we will do for you.
To ensure our attention to detail is laser-focused and you have the hands-down best experience, we take on about 15 or so weddings a year.
Due to dangerously high summer temperatures, a couple changed both the timing & location. On the morning of their wedding! Within an hour, the “plan B” was put into action and the wedding day was smooth as silk.
