Hello and welcome! I’m Brenda, the owner of Gatherings for Good Events. Our goal is to make wedding planning stress-free and enjoyable for you. We’ll provide the tools and support needed to bring your vision to life, offering a personalized experience tailored to your unique needs. We love helping couples define and refine their ideas, and we’ll be your biggest supporter throughout the process. You can count on us for advice, guidance, and unwavering support. When we’re not working with you directly, we’re busy behind the scenes ensuring you have an unforgettable experience you and your guests will treasure for a lifetime!

When I was ready to start my business in 2014, the name Gatherings for Good was born. It combined the passion I have for event planning along with my commitment to supporting local charitable causes. Through my business I have been able to donate money, time, and resources to help support causes I care about and help raise awareness to so many wonderful organizations in the community.

    5/16/26 Wedding Review

    Note that this is a review for the 12-Week Wedding Planning & Day-Of Coordination service. My wife and I recently had a wedding with Brenda as our day-of coordinator and we could not have been happier with the experience. Since we were doing a significant amount of wedding planning ourselves, we did not intend to have a day-of coordinator. However, many of our vendors asked who we would be using and after some consideration, we decided to invest in one and we are so happy we did. Brenda is very professional, organized, and assertive, which are all integral to being a great coordinator. From our first call, she demonstrated her knowledge about how to run a smooth wedding by asking us details and questions we had not even considered. She uses Honeybook, has automated emails, and remembers even the smallest details, showing how strong her systems are in place. And most of all she is assertive! We were able to hand off planning to her about two weeks before and things the day of went smoothly with our limited involvement. Considering the 12-week package, Brenda has extremely involved and communicative from the moment we started planning. We had many email communications, in addition to phone calls and site visits/rehearsals to ensure everything was smooth. It put us at ease to be alongside someone so experienced. All of these aspects allowed us to be able to soak in the day as much as we could. We are both very happy with her services and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a wedding.

    Couldn’t have done it without Brenda!

    Selecting the right coordinator can be a nerve wrecking process, but for us, the reviews don’t lie. We needed someone who can help us with planning, select the best vendors in the region, and be there to run the show for us on our big day, while staying within our budget. Brenda fit our needs completely during the short time frame that we were planning, was super communicative, had previously worked with almost all our vendors, and raised little details that we didn’t even consider. We really couldn’t have put together the amazing wedding that we had if we didn’t have Brenda’s help. Her coordination on wedding day truly made the entire event run seamlessly and stress-free.     Couldn’t do it without Brenda!

    A Smart Move

    Hiring Brenda / Gatherings for Good was the smartest thing we did in our wedding planning process. At the beginning we were thinking we were going to plan everything ourselves, but as the wedding became bigger we decided to look for a planner and we're so glad we got Brenda's help as we couldn't have done it without her. We already had a venue and some vendors picked out, but Brenda was able to recommend a lot of great vendors through her extensive network and keep us on track with the milestones we needed to hit to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch. She also brought things to our attention to think about/take care of that we would have never considered on our own, so it was invaluable to have her experience at the helm. She was very communicative and she is very dedicated and detail oriented and made many revisions to our timeline to make sure everything was well planned. On the day of our wedding Brenda and her team made sure everything ran smoothly. Hiring Brenda was the best money we spent on our wedding and honestly a really great value for the services that her and her team provided!

    Brenda is a boss!

    Brenda handled our wedding with a delightful yet executive-level efficiency. We had a fairly complicated plan for 150 guests in Santa Barbara's destination wedding far away from our personal residence, but she and her assistants were completely unfazed by this. Months ahead of time, Brenda foresaw all the elements of what we needed to make our wedding a wonderful, beautiful success. She was generous with her time and expertise, we loved her vendors, and would recommend her to all couples looking for a steady, insightful hand with Brenda as their wedding coordinator!

The number of weddings we take on per year can vary, however, we tend to only take on a very limited number of weddings per year which allows us to be fully immersed into each wedding, get to know our couples better, and provide them with the attention needed to prepare for their wedding day.
The short answer is no. We feel a day of coordination service doesn't provide our clients with enough value and doesn't give us enough time together to fully prepare for such a momentus occasion. We prefer to work more closely with our couples so we have a chance to get to know them and understand their vision so we can work together to achieve the desired outcome. Our Event Management package would be the closest option, offering couples minimal support starting 12 weeks before the wedding date.
Gatherings for Good was started in 2014 in Santa Barbara, CA. We have been providing event and wedding planning and coordination services since then. Owner, Brenda Cali began her career in the event industry working in the San Francisco Bay Area over 25 years ago working in corporate events, non-profit events and planning a variety of weddings and social events before starting the business.
No! We are highly experienced in all areas of event planning including holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, welcome parties, baby showers, reunions, company retreats, fundraisers, or any other milestone event or celebration.
