Zero professionalism
I wanted to share my experience with Blue Mountain Event Co. in case it helps another bride while planning. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our experience, I feel obligated to share it so that other couples can make informed decisions before booking with them. Unfortunately, my experience with them as my wedding coordinator was deeply disappointing. I hired a coordinator so I could feel supported, organized, and actually enjoy my wedding day without having to worry about the many details I had spent so long planning. Sadly, that is not how things turned out. Even before the wedding day, I had concerns about communication and reached out to discuss them because I wanted us to be on the same page. My goal was never to be difficult, I simply wanted to make sure everything would run smoothly. I left those conversations still feeling uneasy, but I chose to trust that everything would come together on the wedding day. Unfortunately, it didn’t. There were multiple important responsibilities and details that were not handled the way they should have been, and much of the support I specifically hired a coordinator for was simply not there. Some of the issues included décor and personal items not being set out as instructed, flowers and other planned details being left unused or forgotten, reception items not being fully set up, and a general lack of direction and follow-through throughout the day. There were also important moments where I felt unsupported and left to deal with stress that I should not have had to carry as the bride. Throughout the day, I also felt there was very little proactive involvement. There were multiple times where she appeared to be standing or sitting while unfinished tasks remained, rather than actively checking details, assisting vendors, or anticipating what needed to be done. She also came across as disengaged, and there wasn’t the warm, reassuring presence I expected from someone whose role is to help guide couples and keep everything running smoothly. That lack of initiative added to the feeling that we weren’t receiving the level of coordination we had hired her for. To be fair, I was eventually given a partial refund after I raised my concerns, and I do appreciate that. However, what was just as disappointing was how everything was handled. After the refund, I sent an email in hopes of understanding what had happened and finding some closure. I wasn’t asking for more money, I simply wanted an explanation and an honest conversation about my experience. My email was never acknowledged or answered, which left me feeling completely ignored. I understand that no wedding day is ever perfect, and I am not someone who expects perfection. But I do expect professionalism, communication, accountability, and care, especially from someone hired specifically to help carry the weight of such an important day. The emotional impact of what happened on my wedding day was never truly acknowledged, and that’s something that’s hard to move past because I’ll never get that day back.

Their communication style is prompt, professional, clear, friendly, and they are in complete control of every detail.
