About Adorrable Events

Adorrable Events

Event Coordinator

I’m Allison Dorr, and I’m here to bring my decade of experience in the Hospitality and Event industry to help make your big day everything you’ve dreamed of. I hold a degree in Hospitality Management from Kansas State University and have worn many hats over the years, from banquets and corporate events to venue management, I’ve done it all! The wedding industry can feel overwhelming, and I know how draining and expensive it can get. That’s where I come in, I’m here to take the pressure off, help you navigate the details, and make sure you get to say "I do" surrounded by the people you love most.

My decade of event knowledge is perfect for those who don't even want to stress about the big day. I have experienced many stressful moments in the event industry; it has become a cake walk! Also, means I can anticipate issues before they become a major problem.

In three words: Efficient, Fun, Supportive

Adorrable Events-best event planner in Kansas City

Working with Adorrable Events was such a relief from start to finish. Allison made the whole planning process feel easy and stress-free, which really helped calm my nerves leading up to my event. She had a way of making me feel like my vision mattered and that she genuinely cared about creating something special just for us. Everything ran smoothly, and honestly, I think that's because Allison had thought through every single detail. She made me feel valued and supported throughout the entire process, and I'm already planning to hire her for future events. I can't recommend Adorrable Events highly enough.

    What a fun vendor!!

Working with Adorrable Events was a highlight of our event - she is easy to work with, very personable, and detail-oriented, which made our event a success!

Absolutely not! When you book me, you’re getting someone who is fully committed to you and your event. I’m there for your rehearsal, and on your wedding day I’m with you from the first cup of coffee to the final send‑off. If you need me at 6 a.m., I’m there. If the celebration goes late into the night, I’m still there. Your day becomes my day, start to finish.
The second your contract is signed, I’m officially yours. You can reach me anytime by text or email, and I’m always happy to help. As we get closer to your big day, we’ll meet in person twice—once at the two‑month mark and again two weeks before the wedding. Each meeting runs about an hour or two, giving us plenty of time to go over logistics, finalize details, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. From there, you’ll have me at your rehearsal and with you all day on your wedding day.
Yes! When you sign the contract, you will see my policy information, and I can send it to venues who need it.
You’ll have full access to me by text or email for questions or advice. Before your wedding, we’ll have two planning meetings and a full venue walk‑through. I’ll also be at your rehearsal to help run the timeline, meet your wedding party, and collect anything you want handled for the next day. On your wedding day, I’m with you from start to finish to ensure everything feels seamless and magical.
No, I do not require a deposit. Just a contract to lock me in and full payment day of the wedding.
Full‑service planning means having someone with you from day one until the very end. They handle vendor booking, create style and décor vision boards, and help manage your full event design from start to finish. Day‑of coordination is different, I step in after you’ve chosen the fun things like tastings, décor, and colors. I’m here for guidance and to execute your big day, acting as your personal assistant so you can enjoy your wedding instead of working it.
No, I don’t nickel‑and‑dime you. During our intro meeting, we go over expectations and details, and I give you a clear quote. That price includes everything—and sometimes even a little extra within reason. I’m not going to charge you more if you planned for me to stay until 11 p.m. but the night runs until midnight. And if I need to handle a quick errand during the wedding (like dashing out for more solo cups at the bar *gasp*!), that’s all part of the service.
Of course I can! While I primarily work as a Day‑Of Coordinator, I’ll never leave you confused about where to find the right vendors. After more than a decade in this industry, I know who I trust, who I’ve worked with, and how to spot vendors who seem a little too good to be true. I’m always happy to point you in the right direction and help you navigate the options with confidence.
