Our son, Daniel, graduated from Stetson with his BBA on May 8, and we are still reeling with pride and joy. What an unforgettable four years it has been! So much of our Stetson experience was made special by the City of DeLand, FL MainStreet DeLand Association community. We truly fell in love with this town, its people, and the genuine generosity of spirit that resides there. In everything we did, we made it our goal to support local businesses and members of the community. As we approached graduation and all the festivities that came with it, it was important to us to select a local photographer who truly exemplifies the values of DeLand. Thanks to Ms. Susie Macon - Ms. DeLand herself - we were connected with Jamie Lee Creativity, and what a wonderful connection it was! Jamie is a sixth-generation DeLand resident whose family settled in the area in the 1880s. Multiple generations of her family have attended Stetson. Although Jamie herself was accepted to Stetson, she chose to attend UCF. Her younger brother and sister-in-law both graduated from Stetson, as did her cousin, grandfather, and undoubtedly many other family members. In short, she has a deep personal connection to both DeLand and Stetson, which made the entire photography experience especially meaningful. From the ease of booking, to her expert recommendation of the perfect time for the shoot to capture the best lighting, to her knowledge of the most beautiful campus look locations and backdrops, Jamie was exceptional. She took the time to listen to Daniel’s vision for the shoot and carefully prepared in advance to ensure all of his desired locations, poses, and props were incorporated. My very first shoot with Jamie was actually the one that got picked up in Women’s World Magazine 😭✨ — such an unforgettable experience! From that moment, I knew I had to book her again for a personal shoot… and she did NOT disappoint 💛 One thing I love most is how she’s able to pull a natural smile out of me. I don’t always feel comfortable in front of the camera, but she makes the entire experience feel easy, relaxed, and fun — like I’m just being myself 📸 She even took the time to help fix my outfit to make sure everything looked perfect. Jamie was awesome! I wanted to get some maternity pictures taken and include my rambunctious toddler. We have had some photo experiences in the past that did not go so well. Jamie was super patient and understanding with us and was able to get some of my favorite pictures of us, my toddler included! Jamie knows what she is doing and is able to provide memories that will last a lifetime!
