About J3Designs Photography

Jess Stauffer

Owner & Principal Photographer

It is the joy of my soul to document love stories. I believe in creating luxe timeless imagery for my couples, focusing on the uniqueness and beauty of each relationship. Fourteen years and four hundred weddings later, I still tear up at every wedding! Wedding days are where I feel most at home and finding creative ways to photograph in the most difficult of circumstances is where my artistic self thrives! I can't wait to meet you.

It should not be your job as the couple getting married to stress about things on the wedding day- that's where I come in. My team and I pride ourselves on not only creating beautiful images for you but also coming along side you and helping you bring all the pieces of a wedding together: timeline construction, coordination with your other vendors, pinning the flowers on the men, bustling the wedding dress. Whatever we can do to make the day flow well, it is our honor and privilege to do it.

    Unprofessional

I did not use her personally as my photographer but experienced her as a wedding guest. My family member was getting married and Jess, the owner/photographer , was rude and very short when instructing family pictures. She made comments about apparel in an unkind way and never smiled once. I can’t attest to the quality of her photography but if I were to have a professional take my wedding pictures I wouldn’t want someone who acted like her towards my family. She had a smug attitude

Preferred vendors of J3Designs Photography

Yes! Our full service wedding collections always have a second photographer, both of the ladies who work with J3Designs Photography have trained with me so our imagery is consistent.
As soon as possible! Wedding dates reserve quickly especially summer and fall. On average, our weddings are reserving 12 months in advance.
Every image that is delivered to you will have been edited by me! You have put enough work into planning your wedding, why should you have to put more work into making your pictures look great? Imagery is color and light corrected for perfect printing through our professional labs.
It varies depending on length of the day, how large your guest list is, what the weather does that day. An average wedding with 2 photographers and 8 hours of photography would have at least 500. The more time we have for photos of the two of you though, the more beautiful imagery we can create!
I'm happy to say in 14 years and 400+ weddings, I have only missed ONE! The benefit of J3Designs Photography is there are two photographers scheduled for your day so one of us would absolutely be there!
Every wedding and photo session comes with the print release, allowing you to print on your if you choose. However, we proudly partner with the best professional photo labs in the country and offer printing directly from your online galleries giving you great quality prints that are affordable but beautiful, just as they were created to be.
Having an unplugged wedding is always your decision as the couple getting married (which I highly recommend) However, guests are able to take photos if they want to so long as they are not preventing me from getting the photos you've hired me to take. Often times I ask guests to wait to take photos until after family and portrait photos are done to keep our time line moving on schedule.
Absolutely! Creating wedding time lines is one of the things I am best known for in the wedding community here. With so many weddings in my repertoire I have a vast knowledge on keeping a wedding day moving in a way that doesn't feel like you're rushing through events and are still able to enjoy your most special day.
