Welcome! I'm the designer/owner, farmer/florist, grower/accountant, and customer service team at Hazel Designs. I pour so much love and passion into this work, and I’m excited to share some of that with you. I love expressing, interpreting and creating backdrops for love stories of all kinds, using the color, light and texture of local, seasonal blooms. I started my design business in Seattle 12 years ago and am now based in Bellingham, where I grow cut flowers and have access to amazing locally sourced blooms.

I love collaborating with other artists, clients and venues, and relish the light bulb moments that happen when creative minds get together. I’ve intentionally kept the business small in order to stay creative, adaptable and available to my clients, so you'll be working directly with me and there are no hidden organizational costs. I'm familiar with many local venues and love working in new spaces as well! I thrive on a design challenge, so no project is too weird or out-of-the-box.

    Stunning Wedding Florals & Excellent Communication

    I was blown away by Annika's work. I reached out to her to do the florals for my outdoor summer wedding at Hovander Park with a limited budget. Annika was very responsive and she really listened to the style and look I wanted and worked with me on my pricing to make sure I got exactly what I wanted -- and within my budget. She did an absolutely STUNNING job. Seriously, wow. The arch florals she did -- holy cow! Simply gorgeous. I was in love. It was perfect and exactly what I imagined. Even better, actually. My bouquet was also absolutely amazing. I got so many compliments. Everything was so beautiful and fresh and I loved that they were all seasonal and locally grown and picked. I really felt her love and passion in every piece -- her talent was on full display! She is incredibly gifted and I couldn't have asked for a better florist for my wedding. From the little touches on the guest tables and ceremony chairs to the cake flowers to the arbor pieces and bouquets -- she truly helped bring my vision to life and I'm so grateful to her! My only regret is that I didn't get to thank her in person! I wasn't expecting to fall this in love with my wedding florals. You will not regret booking Annika at Hazel Designs for your next special event :)!

SERVICE AREAS FOR 2026: Bellingham and Whatcom/Skagit counties, the greater Seattle area, Snohomish county, Mount Baker and North Cascades, Whidbey Island, Camano Island, San Juan Islands and Port Townsend and parts of the Olympic Peninsula. You can pick up at our Bellingham studio or have flowers delivered in town for a $75 delivery fee. Full service weddings will have the delivery/travel price worked into your proposal since each venue is so different! Delivery fees for a la carte orders are determined by distance and timing.
Elopements and personal flowers start at $400. A la carte is $750 and up, and full service weddings are usually $5,000 and up.
Initial consultations last approximately 1/2 hour so we can ask all the questions we need to work up an estimate. Once you've booked with us, design consultations take 1-2 hours, and then you can follow up with further communication as needed! Please come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget and style, as well as any inspiration you have for your wedding flowers. This can include images of your venue, photos of your wedding attire, fabric swatches, your color palette, photos from social media, and more. The more information and ideas you provide, the better we can assist you.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 8 months before their big day.
Yes! We offer a variety of rentals for an additional cost from arch structures to candle holders, fabric drapes, boho baskets and more.
We’re happy to recommend a few local vendors who provide this service!
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception. Breakdown appears as a separate, optional service on your estimate. We compost everything that can't be donated to the local senior center or school, so your florals are zero waste!
