Quartet442
quartet442 is based in Rochester, NY. All members hold high degrees from the Eastman School of Music are active teachers and performers in the musical community. We have extensive experience performing at weddings, private events, benefits, dinners, and much more! No matter if you're looking for traditional classical wedding music or Bridgerton-inspired pop songs, we have you covered! quartet442 exemplifies professionalism, elegance, and the pure joy of sharing music.
We have been performing as a string quartet since 2012 and have extensive experience in weddings and events. A string quartet is a chamber ensemble consisting of two violins, one viola, and one cello. String instruments produce a warm, rich, expressive, and soulful sound. We're biased, but a string quartet creates a beautiful and romantic atmosphere for your event!

Wedding Cocktail Hour
quartet442 is the best! We hired them to play music during our cocktail hour at our wedding. They created the perfect atmosphere while folks mingled. Elise is so organized and made everything so easy leading up to the event. They were an amazing addition to our wedding!

Fantastic Ceremony and Cocktail Music
From our first conversation with Quartet442, we knew we'd made the right choice for our wedding's live music. Their team was responsive and easy to work with throughout the planning process, and they went out of their way to accommodate our custom song requests, which made the day feel truly personal. The musicianship was exceptional—they performed beautifully during our ceremony and cocktail hour, creating an elegant and emotional atmosphere that our guests couldn't stop talking about. Amazing!
I am so happy to have had Quartet442 play for our wedding ceremony! Elise was wonderful to work with. She made sure to coordinate with me and my wedding coordinator in order to ensure the day went smoothly. The quartet’s music selection is impressively broad, spanning from timeless classics to modern pop and rock. Their performance was beautiful, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. Highly recommend!

Great Quartet!
Quartet442 was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding! They played at our wedding in Fall 2024. Elise was easy to communicate with and always responsive to our questions. On the day of, the group played beautifully during both our ceremony and part of cocktail hour. Their music selection was great, and they had a mix of classical and modern which was what we were looking for. The group was timely and we had no issues. I only wish I could have enjoyed their playing more, a bit busy getting married I suppose. I highly recommend them to any couple!

Highly recommend Quartet442
