    As You Wish

    We hired Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment for our wedding and DJ Akeem handled the music throughout the day. He was quick to respond during the final touch base and stayed organized with our ceremony playlist and transitions. The dance floor was lively, and he took requests from guests as the night went on. However, we noticed that the guest requests took over and we ended up not hearing a lot of the songs we spent time selecting for the reception. Akeem's rates were fair compared to other DJs in the area, and he showed confidence in his work. Overall, he did the job well, though we would have appreciated more balance between our curated list and guest requests. They did not execute our uplighting as planned, which was big let down.

    Keep the party moving!

    I booked Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment following the Rochester Bridal Expo in Fall of 2025, at a discounted price following their Thanksgiving Deal. They did outstanding with communication prior to DJ Selection. Our DJ was Ben. He had great communication and really did well at keeping up with the timeline. He kept the dance floor alive, along with hitting our must plays. We gathered guests' first dance songs, and provided them to Ben to play throughout Cocktail Hour, and our guests loved this. Most of them did head to the dance floor and dance!

    Nathaniel at Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment was responsive from the moment we reached out, answering our questions quickly and helping us plan the perfect soundtrack for our wedding. On the day of, he had incredible energy on the mic and knew exactly how to work the crowd, getting people excited without ever feeling over the top. He read the room so well and played the right songs at the right times, which kept our guests dancing all night long. Nathaniel was professional, fun, and made the whole experience stress-free for us. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat and would absolutely recommend Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment to any couple looking for a DJ who actually cares about making their reception special.

    Great DJ

    We loved working with Midwest Sound for our wedding this year! Our DJ was Amanda and she was FABULOUS to work with! She was a great communicator, listened to what we wanted our music/dance floor to be like, and did an amazing job playing music that had everyone out on the dance floor! Midwest Sound was super easy to work with as well, and provided updates every step of the way. We would 100% recommend their services!

We require a $195 deposit. This comes off the total price of the event.
Yes. We email a digital contract for you to review and digitally sign. A copy of your signed contract can always be found in the Client Portal.
Gratuity is not automatically included. Most couples do choose to include a gratuity for their DJ.
The day of your event is the last opportunity to pay your remaining balance. You can pay through the Client Portal or pay cash, check, or money order directly to the DJ.
Our DJs use JBL speakers, an American Audio mixing board and Numark NDX’s.
Yes, we use all digital music. Due to licensing laws, we cannot use any streaming services. We only use purchased music from iTunes Store and Amazon Music Store.
Our equipment will need to be under the cover of a tent or outbuilding in the event of inclement weather and we require access to power. Our system can run off one dedicated outlet or extension cord, or a 2000+ watt generator.
You can select from a variety of popular styles that we can provide. If you would like specific songs during this time we would ask that you provide it, this could be on USB, CD or using an mp3 player/device.
We will happily purchase music for your event at no additional charge to you. Our only limitations are that we have to acquire music legally and we cannot provide music from streaming services.
