Hey! I'm Andres, the owner and DJ behind Mero Music. I was born and raised in Chicago with Colombian roots, so I bring a unique blend of cultural flair and big-city energy to every event. As a bilingual DJ (Spanish & English), I seamlessly bridge the gap between cultures through music, creating a dynamic atmosphere that speaks to everyone on the dance floor. Unlike larger companies, I handle everything personally—from initial consultations to wedding planning and being your DJ and MC on your special day. Description

Need an additional set up for your cocktail hour? We got you covered! If your cocktail hour is in a separate room away from your reception area, add on the satellite system which ensures music is played during your cocktail hour. This includes a separate speaker, stand, scrim, and a music playing device such as a phone, ipad, or ipod.

    Thorough, communicative, and great DJ!

    Andres was thorough, communicative and dedicated to meeting with us throughout the entire process. His music suggestions for the non reception portions were super helpful while we were decisioned out and he did an excellent job with the bilingual announcements to help out family feel included.

    Hiring him and team for all our future events!

    Andres was all positive words; professional, flexible, punctual, very genuine, responsive, and so easy to work with. Leading up to the wedding, he was very flexible with scheduling, very open to our ideas and very responsive if any changes came up. He made the prep process very easy and it made the process really fun! He was really kind in giving us pointers of previous crowds at weddings and reminded us that everything will be great (which it was more than great!). On the wedding day, he was well coordinated/organized and kept the party alive from start to finish. He was so kind and gave us gentle reminders of when we needed to get our traditions/dances started. Once the dance floor opened up, it never closed! He read the room and knew exactly what to play. He respected our wishes on certain songs and was open to requests only if we approved. The photo booth was an absolute hit! It is sooooo worth getting. Our guests had fun through the night and my husband and I loved seeing all the photos of our loved ones! 10000/10 for Andres!

    Wedding DJ

    Having DJ Mero for my sister's wedding was one of the best decisions she made! He was professional, organized, and made the entire reception feel effortless from beginning to end. The music was fantastic, he read the crowd perfectly, and the dance floor stayed full all night. He created such a fun, upbeat atmosphere that everyone from the youngest guests to the oldest had an amazing time. The photo booth was also such an awesome addition! It was a huge hit with the guests and gave everyone fun memories to take home. His helper was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which made the whole experience even better.     THE BEST DJ

    DJ MERO WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! If you're a bride or groom looking for a wedding DJ, look no further than DJ Mero! Hiring him for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Like many couples planning a wedding, finding vendors that truly matched our personality can be hard. As a Hispanic couple in our 30s, it was important for us to find someone who could seamlessly blend different styles of music and deliver exactly what we envisioned for our day. We needed someone to handle our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception music, and DJ Mero exceeded our expectations. Like every bride, I wanted a packed dance floor and a party that lasted until the very end of the night. DJ Mero kept the energy high from start to finish, and our guests were dancing all the way until midnight! One of the things we appreciated most was the personalized experience. Supporting independent vendors is so important, and with DJ Mero, you get the one-on-one attention that is hard to find with larger companies. He scheduled multiple meetings with us to make sure we felt completely comfortable and understood throughout the planning process.     The Perfect Wedding DJ Experience!

    We had a great experience with Andres as our wedding DJ and would absolutely recommend him! One thing we really appreciated was the option to provide our own playlist/music ahead of time, which made it easy to create the exact vibe we wanted for the wedding. Andres executed everything perfectly and kept the energy up all night! His MC work was also professional, clear, and engaging without being overly intense which honestly made such a difference. Communication throughout the whole process was smooth and consistent, and he was always professional and flexible with availability when we had questions or needed to coordinate details. I don't see your wedding as "another day in the office". Your wedding is the Superbowl and there is no room for errors! Unlike other DJ companies you work with me from start to finish, from the first consultation to the last song of the night - I am your trusted DJ. Through this process I get to know you personally and get a deeper understanding of what your vision is and how I can help make it memorable. My experience in playing instruments shows during my performance and my experience from being in HR shows in the level of detail I make sure to capture to make sure everything runs smoothly!
Absolutely! I can provide a COI if your venue requires a copy!
It depends on the set up but I typically arrive 2-3 hours before the event starts with an assistant.
I offer a Professional photo booth with a professional camera (no iPads here!) with props, a back drop, an attendant, and prints! I also offer cold sparks, dancing on the cloud, and hora loca (glow sticks, white long balloons, and a CO2 gun).
