BDX was founded in 2017 with a vision to not only create lasting memories for clients in ways they had never experienced, but to provide jobs for local artists to be able to earn a competitive wage doing what they absolutely love! Since our inception, we have exceeded even our own expectations of all that we’d become and continue to evolve into. Proudly 100% black owned, we deeply value operating with integrity and delivering a service that is incomparably excellent! Many of our musicians, singers, and DJ’s have toured professionally and bring a wealth of masterful skill and exquisite execution to our events.

We CUSTOMIZE!!! Not only can you choose your band size and/or partner your band with a DJ, but no genre of music is off limits with us. While we specialize in Classic R&B/Hip Hop, Jazz Standards, and Motown, we cater our music to the specific desires of our clients. No music genre or song request is off limits; we do it all! Your party is our passion! We are entertainers, through and through! From start to finish, we invest in making sure our clients are taken great care of and that all of your needs are met.     Absolutely amazing!! Book this band!

    We spent so much time searching for the perfect wedding band before we booked Velocity and booking BDX was the best decision we could have made. The band sounded amazing and all the small touches were perfect. They kept our guests on the dance floor and kept continuous high energy the entire evening. BDX made the entertainment part of our wedding so easy. Their staff coordinated sound for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and also provided lighting and MC service. Their professionalism is unmatched. We had the absolute best time with Velocity at our wedding!

Absolutely! We love taking requests in advance and working them into your event's setlist. After all, it's YOUR party! We want to ensure you and your guests have a great time and with our extensively versatile frontline of vocalists and musicians, we won't disappoint!
We love taking music requests in advance and/or partnering the band with one of our incredible DJ's so that not one single song request is missed all night!
We do! When you book our full 11-piece band, you get to select three pieces from the band to service your ceremony and two pieces to service your cocktail hour!
YES! We take out insurance policies specifically for the date, time, and venue of each of our events! Documentation is provided to the venue directly, and can be produced for the client upon request.
We are proudly black owned and deeply value a diversified palate in all that we do! We are happy to discuss catering to any requests for specialty, religious, or ethnic musicians and music!
