“Gemma was great! From the very beginning, she was so easy to work with. She was very responsive and really listened to what we wanted. She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

He announced everything clearly and timely, kept the flow of the evening running smoothly, and was always attentive to the energy of the room. As a DJ, he was incredible. He played all the songs we wanted while also reading the crowd perfectly and keeping the dance floor packed all night long. We used Eric for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and for all three he exceeded our expectations. The music was phenomenal and the lighting looks amazing in pictures. He helped us host a great party, was receptive to all of our song requests and preferences, and checked in with us as needed before and throughout the wedding. He kept the energy up all night and knew exactly what to play when. He was also a great emcee, super likable and not the least bit cheesy or abrasive during any announcements during the reception. Everyone complimented how cool he was and what a great set he played. We cannot recommend him enough and can’t wait to party with him again!”

I was nervous to find the right fit and was so relieved to have found Summit Events. From the beginning, we ended up working with the DJ who would perform the night of. Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! “My husband and I had one non-negotiable for our wedding - to have a live band. We went to the BVT showcase and immediately fell in love with Experience. They were a little bit out of our budget, but we decided to book them anyways and cut back on other things and let me tell you ...they were worth every single penny!!! Luke is the nicest, coolest guy and so great to work with!! He listened to every request we had leading up and I truly didn't think about a thing during the wedding day - he had our timeline completely under control and kept us on track (and if we were running behind I still have no idea because he's that good!!). The band is INCREDIBLE and had our guests on the dance floor all night!! I realized at the end of the night I never even changed out of my heels into my white sneakers because that would have meant leaving the dance floor. Our guests are still telling us how amazing the band was and several of them even got their card for their own events! Having Experience was the best decision we made!! Thank you to all of you for making our wedding day so memorable and fun!!”

From start to finish, his communication was excellent—clear, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. Our venue had the ceremony site, cocktail hour, and reception all in three separate areas, and DJ Neal was more than accommodating with his setup. Everything transitioned seamlessly and without any stress for us. He truly went above and beyond with the lighting setup as well. It completely transformed the space and looked incredible—it added so much to the overall atmosphere of the reception and the pricing was very inexpensive. Compared to other DJs we considered, his package options were incredibly well-priced for the level of service and quality he delivered.
