Awarded Best of Zola
Woodinville Lavender is not only beautiful but the owner Tom made it so easy to plan and enjoy our special day. He is very detail oriented, calm, and accommodating. For example, our catering wasn't able to get ice and Tom had some bags in his freezer chest which he allowed us to use. He allowed us to drop majority of the décor the day before during our rehearsal which was a huge help. On our wedding day, I saw him in the corner of my eye wiping the dance floor so guests don't slip from the bubbles from bubble gun, brought out heat lamps when the night got cold without us even asking, rescheduled our wedding date for free when quarantine policy was implemented for int'l travelers, which prevented half of our guests from coming, made sure we were charged the cheaper Redmond tax rate with our catering, made exception allowing rentals to be picked up the day after our wedding so we don't get charged $500 for late night pick up, and more. Tom has done an impeccable job keeping the venue so beautiful but how much he cares and helps is the real reason why this venue is so worth it. I was stress free and actually had a blast on my wedding day. I'm so grateful to Tom and would recommend this venue to anyone.

Dunn Gardens

5.0

Seattle, WA
  • Up to 40 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,700

Celebrate your special day at Dunn Gardens, a 1915 Olmsted-designed historic garden located just north of downtown Seattle. Our 7.5 acres of luscious Northwest native plants, meandering paths, and a peek-a-boo view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains never cease to amaze guests. This is truly the most beautiful garden in Seattle! There are many reasons to choose Dunn Gardens for your wedding, but one of the nicest things about celebrating here is that we only do one wedding per week, allowing you and your vendors to begin set-up on Thursday with a final clean-up on Monday. Our weddings range in size from simple elopements to micro weddings of up to 40 guests. We are flexible and always enjoy working with couples to create the wedding of their dreams. Why would you choose Dunn Gardens? Privacy, personalized service, and your choice of location for the ceremony that provides a variety of scenic and natural opportunities for photographs.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Bridal suite on site
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • Does not have a dance floor
  • Can not accomodate large big events
We had a 35 person wedding at Dunn Gardens in July 2024. It was absolutely amazing. Choosing the gardens was hands-down the best decision of our wedding and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. My husband and I searched all over WA and the Bay Area for wedding venues. We were looking for: - an outdoor wedding in the woods - a space appropriate for 40 guests - the ability to host a medium fancy, catered event- like an elevated backyard wedding We chanced upon Dunn Gardens on a botanical garden website. The moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect spot for us. The space alone may be the most gorgeous, well hidden little pocket of Seattle out there. Even folks not looking to get married should check the gardens out- we visited many times in the year leading up to our wedding, and in every season, the garden is a stunning, PNW dream. This is just what we wanted: a place where we could be at peace in the trees with our guests. It was so magical day-of, and all our guests commented on how special and beautiful the venue was. Though the scenery alone is enough to set this venue apart, the rest of our experience here was also incredible. The professionalism and assistance we received from our venue coordinator, Sara, was wonderful. She helped us every step of the way (for a year!) coordinating with our outside vendors, helping us make key decisions, and solving problems for us that arose day-of with our caterers. Working with Sara was one of the best parts of our wedding process. We also loved the flexibility and access the venue provided. In addition to our Saturday wedding, we hosted a casual rehearsal dinner and nature walk at the gardens Friday night, plus a floral prep party in the garden cottage Friday afternoon. Then, after the wedding, we had Sunday and Monday to clean up. The ongoing access to the gardens all weekend was so helpful logistically and gave us more time to enjoy the space with our families. Most of our wedding took place on lawns outside (there are many little areas to set things up- we had our rehearsal dinner on the cottage lawn, ceremony on the tennis lawn, and reception on the great lawn). For our floral prep, rehearsal dinner food area, and getting ready areas, we used the cottage. We did not rent a tent since it was July (a tent would be a good idea most other months). The venue was very flexible with our choice of vendors and our timeline and vision for the event. A few restrictions that worked fine for us were the limit on the headcount (40 at the time we had our wedding), time cutoff (guests out by 9pm- this was perfect, we bar hopped in Fremont with our friends afterwards), and no microphones, speakers, or DJs (we had a keyboardist, which was great. No mics for the ceremony and toasts, which was not a problem at all). A few more helpful things the venue provided were plastic banquet tables, folding chairs, use of furniture for things like outdoor lounging and gift tables, tablecloths (casual style, perfect for the rehearsal pizza dinner), vases (used for floral prep), and chalkboard signs. We loved our wedding and we are so grateful to have had it at Dunn Gardens. I can’t imagine a more perfect place to get married. I recommend this venue wholeheartedly, and encourage any couple thinking about it to stop in for a visit. You will fall in love with this garden- we certainly did and will be back for years to come.

Robinswood House was the perfect venue for our wedding day. Their communication was always efficient and detailed, which we greatly appreciated during the hectic wedding planning process. The venue itself is so unique - a quaint, beautiful property surrounded by lush greenery that made for a magical backdrop. Having our ceremony and reception there truly made our special day feel that much more special. We also want to recognize that as the couple, we had to organize and communicate with all vendors for the day to run smoothly. We were looking for this flexibility and freedom to hire the vendors we wanted. Robinswood House had great recommendations, but at the end of the day communication and execution relied on us and our vendors. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and highly recommend Robinswood House!

We hosted our wedding celebration at Parties on the Terrace this past September and it was the perfect venue for us! We wanted to find somewhere that we could leverage a more laid-back atmosphere and lean in on the natural features the venue provided. Patti was easy and great to work with on all the details. Very easy to get a hold of prior to and post the event. The inclusion of some items other venues would ask you to pay for made it affordable in the realm of venues (included shuttles from offsite parking, tables, chairs, cafe lights, etc) The venue was in bloom, and it felt like you were in a secret garden, couldn't have asked for a better day!
