    Fountainhead Floral Design

    5.0

    Milford, CT
    • Starts at $3,000
    • Serves Wilton, CT

The granddaughter of two gardeners, I have always felt a connection to the earth through the soil. When someone brings flowers into a room, something changes...an energy, an excitement! I love being able to bring that kind of beauty into peoples lives. I'm a small-town girl who enjoys anything that involves working with my hands from cooking to knitting. I'm a total animal lover (partial to dogs), a die-hard Grey's Anatomy fan, and I take my martinis extra dirty. When I'm not flowering in our studio in Milford, Connecticut, I'm mommin' to three amazing little boys (our dog Pippa and cat, Galaxy).

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

    5.0

    Oklahoma City, OK
    • Serves Wilton, CT

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I highly recommend Flower Moxie for any bride looking to save some money and DIY flowers! It can be a lot to take on, so if you are not a DIY type of bride - this might not be for you. However, if you ARE... Flower Moxie is a great option. Prior to finding Flower Moxie, I spent countless hours researching different types of flowers, how many to get, how to care for them, etc. It was honestly one of the most stressful part of wedding planning because I was worried about overordering, underordering, not knowing what flowers looked good together. I finally discovered Flower Moxie and it was GAME CHANGER. They have pre-selected bundles by color or theme. This put my mind at ease because I didn't have to worry about counting stems, and if anything arrived damaged, they will send you new ones! They are extremely responsive and very helpful. We had some flowers that did not open and they shipped replacements right to our venue. The only thing I would recommend is ordering some additional greens. We definitely did not have enough but luckily I had ordered some extra greens/stock. I think our centerpieces would have looked very small without the additional greens I purchased. Flower Moxie also has a ton of helpful tutorials and pamphlets. I loved how our arrangements turned out and would definitely recommend them to future brides.

    Something Borrowed Blooms

    4.8

    Lafayette, LA
    • Starts at $250
    • Serves Wilton, CT

Thousands of brides across the United States and Canada have trusted Something Borrowed Blooms to provide the perfect flowers for their wedding day. We offer brides the expensive peonies, delicate ranunculus, out-of-season anemones, and the ever-impossible-to-find-magnolia — all at a fraction of the cost.

This company was excellent. They are fast and professional as well as easy! They know this can be a stressful time and made the return process a piece of cake... this really helps the environment too by recycling the florals. I got many compliments

Wood & Word Blooms, luxury wood floral designs

    5.0

    Coventry, CT
    • Starts at $1,500
    • Serves Wilton, CT

Wood & Word Blooms is run by a Jen Angle, former teacher of 20+ years and specializes in using hand-painted wood flowers along with a faux, dried and preserved florals (nothing fresh here) to bring your wedding vision to life not just for that one glorious day but forever. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

    Awarded Best of Zola
I highly recommend Jen with Wood & Word Blooms. I was unsure about “fake flowers” but didn’t want to go through the effort of maintaining real flowers on the Big Day. When I saw her Instagram I couldn’t believe her flowers were made out of wood!!! They’re not hard at all, they are sort of soft so they look so similar to the real thing. I had several people ask me “Those are made out of wood?!?” I loved them and they were a big, BIG hit with everyone who either saw them in person or saw pictures of them. So thankful to Jen and will recommend her any day!
