Originally a cow and poultry farm, the previous owners had run the property as a winery before Rick purchased it in May of 2017. After seeing the property, its luscious landscape, and the rustic charm of the original buildings, Rick had a vision. Life-long residents of Lancaster County, the owners bought the property in 2013 where the Comfort Suites and Chestnut Hill Villa reside. Together, they chose to dedicate time to successfully keep the charm of Chestnut Hill Villa's private Country Estate 14-acre property. It’s historic appearance and authentic country atmosphere was kept intact during the renovations that made it into an elite event venue. Old world charm is displayed by the original deed signed by William Penn's son while new world amenities flourish throughout the venue.

Lovely Lane—while serving an active congregation—has hosted public groups for decades at our mid-Baltimore heritage site location. Yet, our space had limitations until recently. Modern amenities have been added since 2020 to improve the visitor experience and increase public use of our historic building.
