“The Aviator Event Center & Pub was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. Their assistance with planning, great communication, and fantastic staff made our wedding a delight! Shout-out to Tyler, one of their event coordinators who went above and beyond to help ensure our Hindu-American fusion wedding went smoothly. We - and our budget - also loved all the extras that came with their venue rental. The spaces are beautiful, and they were super accommodating when the weather did not permit an outdoor ceremony (classic Cleveland) and provided and set up a second room for us! Our guests all raved about the food and service, and enjoyed the custom menu we created. Overall 11/10 experience, and would definitely plan an event there again!”

“We had a fabulous wedding reception at the Donauschwaben German Cultural Center (Lenau Park). Their entire staff—from their awesome coordinator Christine to their banquet captain and bar staff—was so kind, so professional, and most importantly made our guests feel welcome and taken care of. Christine came to every meeting organized and prepared. She understands the details as well as the emotions that go into planning a wedding and was a great part of our support system. She is fair and reasonable—even helped us make a German Hall a little more “Italian” for the bride. We could not have asked for a better partner! As for the venue itself, it was the perfect place to host 300 of our closest friends and family. The space was beautiful, bright and happy. Our guests were comfortably seated at 32 round tables of 8 to 10. The team made all of our décor visions come to life. The outdoor patio was welcoming and comfortable for guests as well. The dance floor is huge! Perfect for an Italian tarantella. I would also say the room is set up well acoustically—with 300 people in the room and music playing, you could still hear the other people at your table. The entryway was also perfect for our receiving line. We were happy to see that guests could enjoy their time—whether they wanted to dance the night away, sit and chat, or just enjoy the night air with family. The food was excellent—seriously excellent. We got so many compliments after the wedding! They have their buffet line down to a science with all of our guests being served in a reasonable amount of time. They also did a great job of meeting the needs of our gluten- and dairy-free guests. That is so hard to do when you are feeding so many people, and even these guests said they enjoyed their meals. Finally, the money we spent on this wedding reception was well worth the value. The food and beverage packages are incredibly fair for the quality and the amount of food your guests will be served. We were also able to add appetizers and some special add-ons at a reasonable rate. The linens are provided by a separate vendor, but even those costs were not too bad, and everything looked beautiful when it was decorated! While there are certain rules the venue must follow and sometimes we needed to negotiate the details, Christine was highly transparent and upfront with us, and always worked with us to find the right solution for our day. After hosting our wedding here, we would absolutely do it again with this space and this team. When it comes to the Donauschwaben, we strongly recommend them for your wedding reception and cannot say enough good things about their level of service!”

Located in a wooded area on 20 acres of scenic grounds, our beautiful gardens provide a picturesque setting for your wedding ceremony & photos. In 1945 a hard-working farmer, Thomas Hricovec had a vision to cater to families with a welcoming atmosphere. His wife, Mary, stood by him and dedicated her time to help him in their journey. The two worked together along with family & friends to make their dream come true. Using their farmland, the Hricovecs changed their lifestyle from farming food, to serving food as well. They broke ground in 1958 and celebrated their first wedding in the fall of 1959. Thomas & Mary instilled the importance of hard work and dedication in their family. Now, third-generation owner Bill Hricovec, a culinary graduate of Johnson & Wales, along with our team, integrates traditional family recipes with a mix of new and innovative menu selections to offer you a wide variety of choices.

“We got married at Tom's Country Place on June 6th and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ashley was incredible throughout the entire process—she answered our questions quickly, explained everything clearly, and made sure all our vendors had what they needed to do their jobs well. The space itself is gorgeous and plenty big for a celebration, with delicious food that our guests are still talking about. What really stood out was how affordable the venue is without cutting corners on quality or service. The staff went above and beyond to make our day special, and we'd recommend TCP to any couple looking for the perfect wedding venue!”

The Lake Erie Building
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
Lakewood, OH
  • Up to 349 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Five fun facts about the Lake Erie Building: 1. We were originally built to be Templar Motors back in 1917. There were less than 3,000 of these cars ever manufactured and if you look carefully, you may even be able to spot one while in the event space! 2. Omni Lakewood purchased the building in 2005 and now manages the building, which has been divided into individual suites that are home to over 100 businesses. 3. The west parking lot where our dock is located used to be a test track for Templar Motors. 4. We host only one event per weekend and give our clients access beginning on Wednesday so they can bring in all their personal touches! We also only require cards and gifts go with them that night and everything else can stay giving you more time to spend with your new spouse! 5. We include a private parking lot and have a huge municipal lot across the street that's available to guests. We offer 3 wedding rental packages.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides event staff
  • Accommodates more than 200 guests
  • Wheelchair accessible

Venue considerations

  • No built-in audiovisual options
  • Does not have a dance floor
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
“Lake Erie Building is the perfect venue if you want to decorate your space exactly as you want it! Having early access to the space days before the wedding was worth its weight in gold. And the “bones” of the space are stunning. The venue coordinator, Hannah, was great to work with too. She gave us great recommendations for vendors and insight into the planning process. The reason for the 4 stars for the clarity of communication is because the contract had some inaccurate information, which I found annoying because I’m a “rules” person. But I can’t recommend this venue enough!!”
