What can we say about Lana other than she was truly phenomenal.
From our very first meeting, we immediately connected with her. When reviewing the photographers recommended by the Wilburton Inn, her work stood out right away. Her style felt natural, warm, and honest — exactly what we were hoping for. We loved that her photos had a realistic beauty to them, without the overly saturated or overdone look that can sometimes come through in wedding photography.
Beyond the work itself, Lana is an incredibly warm and thoughtful person. My wife and Lana immediately connected over their shared experiences of building a life in this country, and that personal connection meant a lot to us. More importantly, Lana really understood the cultural elements of our wedding and the parts of the weekend we wanted to highlight and preserve.
She was also so helpful in thinking creatively with us. She listened to what we wanted, helped shape the vision for the shoot, and still had the flexibility to capture the weekend as it naturally unfolded. Every conversation we had with her was easy and pleasant, and we even had the chance to spend time with her in person before the wedding to talk not only about the day itself, but about life, family, and the things that mattered most to us.
Lana went above and beyond in every possible way. She gave us more than we could have asked for, added thoughtful touches to support us, and captured pieces of the weekend that we absolutely love. One of the sweetest surprises was that she gave us a small notebook with photos on the day of the wedding, which was such a kind and memorable gesture.
