“If I could give Stefan ten stars, I would. Working with him was an incredible experience from start to finish. He did our engagement photos and our wedding photos and for the former he traveled to New York so we could do the shoot at a location that has a great deal of meaning to us. My husband and I are not people who are usually comfortable in front of a camera, but Stefan goes above and beyond to make sure he is prepared and that you are prepared to have the best shoot possible. He has detailed guides for both engagement and wedding shoots, which were incredibly helpful. He also meets with you to discuss your goals for the shoot, get to know who you are as a couple, and understand the vibe you are going for. Our engagement shoot was on a cold and windy day in a location unfamiliar to him and he did research, arrived early, and knocked it out of the park. For our wedding day, the timeline went exactly to plan and any stress or nerves I was feeling completely melted away because we already knew Stefan was on top of it, knew what we wanted from the day, and that we had a rapport going between us. On our wedding day, our friends and family absolutely gushed about Stefan and how great he is. I can't tell you how many times someone came up to me and said, "Who is your photographer? He is AWESOME." Stefan's style is authentic and he is incredibly skilled. The photos are breathtaking without seeming unnatural or overworked. He is great at capturing your vibe as a couple and making sure that comes through in the photos. “As you’ll come to see with vendors, not all of them are very responsive, Barbora was always responsive no matter what time I texted her and had a question to ask her prior to the wedding. She’s punctual (something I care a lot about), she’s very organized (had a timeline and stuck to it) she is also very reliable so that made me comfortable. On the wedding day, she was a delight to be around. She worked so so hard. I literally got to a point where I had to remind her to go have her meal. She took what I thought were beautiful pictures. I wanted spontaneous and organic pictures and she captured just that. I am very awkward in front of the camera (and so is my husband), she helped direct us and made us comfortable. I also wanted pictures in front of the DC monuments, as you can imagine they’re crazy busy on the weekend but she managed to direct us along with the rest of our group and took some of the most beautiful photos (I thought). What I valued the most about Barbora is that it felt like she genuinely cared. It wasn’t a job that she had to go to, she really enjoyed what she was doing.”

“Having a good photographer was one of my priorities for my wedding. I knew the day was going to be a whirlwind and I wanted to be able to look back and at least have one photo where my eyes weren’t closed or something. Lauren absolutely delivered — I don’t think we’ve ever looked as good in pictures and I know I probably won’t again!! Lauren also recommended Elizabeth for our day-of coordinator and I don’t know what we would have done without her — I definitely would have lost my mind, of that I’m sure. First, I can’t overstate the importance of finding a photographer with whom you have a good rapport — Lauren has this charisma where you instantly feel at ease and like you’ve known her your whole life. It frankly made me less nervous and I think that translates really well in the photos. She’s also a master of making you look the best in posed photos - giving little positioning directions that you look elegant without looking stiff. Every time I look at the pictures I’ll notice another candid moment that Lauren managed to capture or simply marvel at how she somehow can translate emotion in a still picture — I find myself smiling and definitely not crying (jk definitely crying) because you can FEEL what we were feeling in these photos. Second, get you a planner who is superhuman. Elizabeth took over six weeks (!) before the wedding and it was like a literal weight was lifted from my shoulders. At our first meeting she went through her checklist (and mine bc of course I had my own) and said “I’ll take care of it” to literally everything... and then...did?? I was fully prepared to have to follow up with vendors and micromanage but I basically didn’t have to do anything. It was magical. Elizabeth and her team did so much work and went above and beyond in literally every way to ensure we had a perfect day. Anyway, if you’re struggling with choosing a photographer because there are 72525 million to choose from, and you like the style of Lauren’s photos, go for it ASAP. Lauren is incredible and I feel so lucky that we were able to work with her. And if you need a day-of coordinator (or a full blown wedding planner!) pick Elizabeth - she has the eye for design and the capability to pull it off and pull it off well!”

Although there are tons of photographers in the area, Erin’s work truly outshined everyone else’s portfolios and I snatched her up before she even moved to Virginia! I love how exciting and creative wedding photography can be while also giving me the opportunity to create something that is so meaningful to others. I got started with photography back in Michigan as a kid with my mom's old Minolta SLR. It wasn't until years later at art school in Kansas City that I realized how fulfilling and exciting wedding photography could be. It has been my focus ever since.

“I highly HIGHLY recommend Asa! He and his colleague photographed our December '24 wedding and they did an AMAZING job. Asa has such a calming presence and on such a chaotic and stressful day it was so, so needed. He was so wonderful to work with in the planning and helped us make a thoughtful plan to ensure we got all of the photos we wanted. We had a traditional Catholic mass and he and his colleague were able to easily follow all of the Church's rules while capturing the essential moments flawlessly. We got every photo we wanted during the mass which was incredibly impressive. We also got shots at sunset by the water and Asa perfectly captured our vision! These are some of our favorite photos. He also captured all of the energy and fun that we had and we walked away with multiple photos of every single one of our guests which was such a treat. Lastly - his pricing is so fair and really competitive to all the photographers we got quotes from. He was easily able to work with our budget and was flexible to our specific needs.
