Darrell Best & his wife Lisa are non-denominational ordained ministers — often referred to as licensed wedding officiants — offering affordable and convenient packages to complement and honor your special day. Darrell Best was an over-worked and underappreciated banker and his wife Lisa, a much-appreciated home daycare provider. They took a leap of faith by purchasing a 1942 American LaFrance firetruck to start a business to be called Red Hot Weddings.

Red Oak Valley is the perfect indoor and outdoor wedding location for your exclusive country-chic farm wedding. Nestled among the rolling hills and wooded valleys of Owensville, Missouri, Red Oak Valley offers a picturesque country wedding near St. Louis, Jefferson City, Columbia, and Rolla, Missouri. We offer two gorgeous climate-controlled barns – one red and one white, a classic chapel, romantic outdoor ceremony sites, tree-lined drives, a private lake, and two charming farmhouses included for overnight accommodations.

Our gorgeous venue includes two floors that are full of history that has been blended with modern design. This historic building started out in 1917 as a meat packing plant and has had many transformations. Since 2013 Arlington's has hosted events of every kind and we continue to grow in our excellence every year. Our expert event coordinators and staff will make sure your wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, baby shower, birthday party, corporate event, fundraiser, or holiday party is as perfect as you can imagine! You can book either the smaller main floor space that allows up to 70 seated or 100 standing guests, or our larger top floor that allows 140 seated or 275 guests. Built in the 1800's, The Larimore is a beautifully restored 6 acre historic estate located in St. Louis, MO. We specialize in hosting beautiful weddings, ranging from large and formal, to small and informal, unique, and even quirky! We offer two dedicated getting ready rooms for both members of the couple, multiple ceremony locations, and a grand banquet hall for your reception! Edwards Place, built in 1833, was a social center of antebellum Springfield. In its gracious parlors Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, Ulysses S. Grant, and other Illinois luminaries gathered at elegant parties and balls. You, too, can have your special day in the same rooms where Abraham and Mary Lincoln were guests more than 150 years ago, now meticulously restored to the grandeur of their antebellum days. Edwards Place is available to rent for showers, weddings, and receptions – the perfect choice for a distinctive event in a historically significant setting. You can even include extra services for your event, such as the use of a piano often heard by Abraham Lincoln (and possibly played at his wedding!). Our rental space has three areas of possibility - the historic house museum, the grounds in front of Edwards Place, and the M.G. Nelson Gallery, a part of our parent organization, the Springfield Art Association, and directly attached by a doorway to historic Edwards Place.
