Our wedding on June 27, 2025, at Viansa Winery in Sonoma, CA, was everything we dreamed of and so much more, and honestly, a huge part of that credit goes directly to them. We spent 11 months planning every detail, and booking Golden Bell Music as one of our very first vendors was hands-down the best decision we made. The band/DJ hybrid concept? Pure genius! It absolutely delivers the best of both worlds, and they pulled it off flawlessly. But really, the biggest shout-out – and the core of this whole review – belongs to the phenomenal Marlon Aldana, our DJ and drummer. We first spotted him in action on Golden Bell's Instagram, and it was an instant "that's our guy!" moment. You can imagine our excitement when we found out he was available for our date! Working with Marlon from the very beginning was just an absolute pleasure. He wasn't just playing music; he was genuinely feeling the room, intuitively knowing when to let a song build or transition to keep the energy up. All of our "must-plays" were there, the do not-play was respected, and the dance floor never once emptied And talk about flexibility! We had a last-minute idea to add an extra instrument, and the Golden Bell team didn't blink. They jumped right in, helping us find the perfect addition without any issues. Plus, we had a separate violinist for our ceremony, and it was so impressive to see how effortlessly all the vendors collaborated. No drama, just smooth, professional teamwork, which really speaks volumes about Golden Bell's commitment to making your day seamless. Now, for the ultimate highlight: our after-party! We decided to do something a little different and host it in a wine cellar, and Marlon and his team elevated it beyond anything we could have imagined. When they brought in a fog machine, the entire atmosphere transformed. It wasn't just a party; it was an experience! That fog machine honestly MADE the party, turning the space into something truly epic. I genuinely can't picture it having the same incredible energy without it, so a massive thank you for that unexpected, perfect touch. And because we had a masquerade theme, I asked if the DJs would wear disco masks and they SAID YES and wore them the entire time, even after I told them they absolutely didn't have to for more than one song! It just created such an amazing vibe, and we've got the pictures to prove how much fun everyone had! There's just so much to appreciate about this incredible group. If you want your special day to be filled with fantastic music, seamless execution, and an unforgettable atmosphere, you absolutely have to choose Golden Bell Music. They truly are exceptional!”

“Keith was the perfect DJ. Honestly! There is nothing that we would change about our wedding night, it was truly perfect. Keith is a class act professional who makes no compromise between quality and affordability. He values his clients and offers extraordinary service at an affordable price. I went in with high (but reasonable) expectations for our wedding night, and he definitely delivered above and beyond!! We had read other reviews of weddings that Keith had DJ’d where the clients were musicians and they had curated a specific type of music they wanted throughout the night, and he nailed it. I consider myself a little bit of an audiophile, so I listen to a wide range of music, and I can also attest to just how amazing Keith’s music selection was! Part of a DJ’s job is to get you excited to go out on the dance floor, and we were already excited before the dancing began, because we just knew Keith was going to kill it (spoiler alert: he did!). He even mixed together multiple songs at once and it was amazing! Keith kept the atmosphere alive all night and there was never a dead moment. Most of the people were up and dancing, even people who have never been willing to dance before! It takes a skilled DJ to do that. It was electric. We had had a negative experience with another DJ company that we spoke to before we decided to look to Nocturnal Cafe, but just from the first conversation with Keith we knew he was our DJ. Keith was incredibly respectful to us, he was patient and understanding throughout the whole process, and he worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were going to have the best night of our lives. His process with his clients is great and made us feel very comfortable. He does a great job of avoiding the typical eye-roll cheesy songs (unless you request it, of course) and he picks songs that suit well for what you’re looking for. We gave him some songs/artists/genres we would like to hear (and some to songs to avoid) but we ultimately wanted to just give him an idea of what we were thinking and for him to use it as a guide more than a ‘must’. We gave him creative freedom to just let him work his magic and boy, was it magic that came out of those speakers!”

He asked us to start adding music to our Spotify playlists over the next year so he gets an idea of what we like. We gave him our Do Not Play Playlist and requested that nobody was able to request songs (he held strong with that I know we had a few haha). He checked in the week prior to the wedding to go over changes and specifics and said we were in good hands. And we were! He did great the day of, everything went smoothly and everything was perfect. We did a table photo frenzy with Chad and our photographer, and a shoe game which was great! We first met Seth at a wedding vendor expo event at our reception venue and were immediately impressed by the quality of his sound system and his ability to mix the selected soundtrack live. Seth is very communicative. In our first meeting with Seth, it was already immediately apparent that he was very experienced and very passionate about making our wedding day special and everything that we wanted it to be. We felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing, and on the day of the wedding he executed flawlessly. As for the preparation work, Seth schedules multiple meetings with you leading up to your wedding day which eases a lot of the nerves heading into busy planning season. Seth also has an app that you can download on your phone which is awesome because it allows you to edit details of your wedding day timeline and playlist on-the-go as we were making decisions during the planning months. On the day of the wedding, Seth came prepared having downloaded all the music that we talked about ahead of time and he kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT (over 3 hours). Seth responded to the audience and was able to mix a variety of genres that we had requested (like country, pop, spanish music, musical songs, etc) over various sets across the evening. He also coordinated our photo booth which was a nice touch that all the guests really enjoyed and had a second person stationed there for help all night. We couldn't recommend Seth enough to other couples who are in need of a DJ! Thank you, Seth!”

“TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Not sure where to begin writing this review. There are truly no words big enough to describe how special Cello Joe was as our wedding DJ. He wasn’t just a part of our wedding day, he made our wedding day. From the very first moment to the very last song, he gave us something so magical, so unforgettable, that it still makes us emotional to think about. He was literally the heartbeat of our day. He played live cello pre ceremony for all the guests to enjoy that was truly so beautiful. But the live cello as I walked down the aisle is a memory etched into our hearts forever. It was more than music. It felt like the soundtrack to our love story, and it was the most beautiful beginning to the rest of our lives. Then, during cocktail hour, he transformed the atmosphere with looping, beatboxing, and cello in a way that left every single guest completely captivated. People couldn’t stop talking about it, and even now, they’re still telling us it was the most unique and breathtaking performance they’ve ever experienced at a wedding from start to finish. And then there was the saxophonist he brought in during the dance party. pure magic. Together, they created an energy that was electric, soulful, and overflowing with joy. They didn’t just entertain, they touched every heart in the room. Not only was he the most talented cello musician, he absolutely crushed the dance party and played non stop for 3:30 hours. Not one bad song or bad mix. It was absolutely incredible. But what truly sets him apart is how much heart he pours into what he does. Without us even knowing, he recorded our entire ceremony, our cocktail hour, our dance floor, and gifted us not just music, but memories. He allowed us to relive the most important day of our lives again and again. That level of thoughtfulness is beyond anything we could have imagined. Our wedding was perfect because of him. He exceeded every expectation and gave us more than we ever dreamed possible. He is, without question, the most talented, kind, and extraordinary musician and DJ we have ever met. If we could give him more than 5 stars, we would. To us, he isn’t just the best wedding DJ in the world, he’s someone we will forever be grateful for, someone who gave us the gift of a wedding day that truly felt like a dream. He help us capture some fun pictures, got us some drinks from the bar, and even came out break dancing on our dance floor!
