​The barn has been built from the ground up by Craig Carpenter, his brother Timmy Carpenter and other family and friends. Many of the trees use to build the barn were harvested from their property and were prepared at their saw mill on site. The idea for a wedding venue began was a dream of their daughter, now Zimmerwald's Estate manager Katie Carpenter White. What began as a simple dream and a sketch on a piece of notebook paper, has now become a reality. We are extremely excited to be a place where beautiful family memories can be made and couples can begin their happily ever after!

The Farm is a relaxed, warm, gathering place for weddings, receptions, corporate team building, family celebrations and romantic getaways. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Farm is just outside of vibrant and artistic Asheville, NC. Originally a family farm, it has grown into a unique, flexible and award winning full-service events venue. The Event Center is a chameleon of sorts – equally suited for an elegant wedding as it is for a southern BBQ. Come saunter along the drive, rock on the porch and enjoy the peace and beauty of our farm as the sun sets behind the mountains. The Fields, on 21 rolling acres, awaits you at the end of Reems Creek Valley. With breathtaking views of the Blueridge Mountains. We are minutes from, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Asheville, NC.​ The Barn is a 3,200 square foot converted stable, a unique rustic barn with the elegance of 21 chandeliers, 2000 square foot Patio draped with Tuscan lights. The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guests. The Event Tent for up to 198 guests seated for dinner or for a beautiful rain backup for ceremonies. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. The largest of the dressing rooms is known as the Brides Room, providing a relaxing and calming feel, with large vaulted ceilings, and views of the mountains.

Double Creek Ranch is an outdoor wedding venue located on a private farm 15 minutes East of Asheville, In a peaceful country setting surrounded by lush greenery and stunning mountain views. We offer Venue Only rental, planning services, and a selection of decor items. Ceremony cites include the creek side area shaded by tall sycamore trees, or facing the breathtaking sunset against the Blue Ridge Mountains. We have a fire pit and yard games available for your event and use of the house for the bridal parties to get ready before the wedding.
