I started off with taking millions of pictures of trees and flowers, my siblings and food when I was 12 years old - the more I did it, the more I realized I want to share the joy in photos with those around me. Suddenly, I was shooting family sessions, senior portraits, maternity, engagements, and then weddings! Oh, what a dream come true!

I moved to New York City from a small town in Pennsylvania when I was 18 years old to study fine art and photography at Parsons School of Design. After college I was awarded a Fulbright grant to spend a year and a half photographing life on the Greek island of Kythera. When I returned to New York I decided to start a wedding photography business that would incorporate my fine art background with a photojournalistic style of shooting, and FOTOVOLIDA was born.
