We got married in October 2025 at Deity Events in downtown Brooklyn, and our experience was nothing short of magical. From the very first moment we toured the space in spring 2024, we knew it was the one. The venue is stunning — modern yet warm, with gorgeous architectural details and an effortlessly chic vibe that feels both elevated and welcoming. Deity is truly a dream for couples planning a wedding in NYC. They host weddings from 50 to 150 guests, and we chose their 50-person micro wedding package. Their pricing is transparent and incredibly reasonable for NYC — packages range from 12K–18K, and we added their breathtaking bridal suite for an additional 3,000, which was worth every penny. The suite is spectacular: two bathrooms, a shower, a full kitchen, a balcony, incredible photography space, a huge sleigh bed, a stunning tub, luxe velvet and leather furniture, exposed brick, and access to a rooftop with a hot tub and cold plunge. It made our wedding morning feel like a luxury retreat and gave us the most beautiful getting-ready photos. What really sets Deity apart is that they are fully all-inclusive and tip-free, which made planning so much less stressful. They handled coat check, bartenders, staffing, a day-of coordinator, DJ/MC, room transitions between floors, passed appetizers, a excellent, generous family style seated dinner, and a full bar with fantastic food and drinks. They also offer beautiful decor basics including a gorgeous hexagon arch, candles, mirrors, table numbers, linens, chairs, and all flatware. This allowed us to personalize the day with our own invites, florals, attire, officiant, dessert, and additional vendors without feeling overwhelmed. Our coordinator was absolutely phenomenal — calm, organized, and truly invested in making our day perfect. The owner, Caio, was lovely, warm, and incredibly professional throughout the entire process. We had several planning meetings, a detailed walk-through, and many email exchanges, and we always felt supported and at ease. We also loved the group tasting experience they offered with other couples getting married that month — it was such a thoughtful and fun touch. All in, we were able to have our entire wedding in downtown Brooklyn for around 35K — about 20K to the venue and 15K for extras — which felt like an incredible value for the level of service, quality, and beauty we received. Location-wise, Deity is unbeatable. Being so close to Barclays Center meant there were at least seven hotels within a seven-minute walk, making it super convenient for our out-of-town guests. The flexibility to bring in our own vendors (outside of food and alcohol) made the entire process smooth, creative, and joyful. Truly, the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. I would choose Deity Events a thousand times over and can only highly recommend for other couples to choose Deity so they can have an equally incredible experience.

From the moment we started planning with Chicago Winery, the entire team made sure we felt heard and supported every step of the way. Everyone's communication was clear and fast through their portal - and when we were assigned Chris as our primary, he answered our questions right away and went above and beyond as our day-of planner. Chris set up our decor exactly how we envisioned it, kept our drinks flowing, and made sure we actually got to eat and try all the appetizers (something we know doesn't always happen at weddings!). The food was incredible, and we had plenty of space to move between the main room and terrace all night long which I know our guests appreciated (especially those who didn't find themselves on the dance floor all night). The next day, I heard only positives about the food and the venue - entrees were actually good, drinks were strong, people were full and well fed (between cocktail hour, dinner, late night snack, and dessert), and the space was stunning. Chris anticipated what we needed before we even asked and treated us like VIPs the entire evening - it was absolutely magical. We can't thank him and the Chicago Winery team enough for making our day feel so special. Recommend 10/10 Chicago Winery - and ask for Chris!

Walden was by far the best experience we had throughout the entire wedding planning process — starting from our very first tour. Having everything in one location and a full wedding planning service included in the venue cost was truly unmatched, and it was the only place we found in Chicago that offered this. Our wedding planners made the entire experience seamless and completely stress-free. We never once felt overwhelmed or rushed. They created a clear timeline, guided us every step of the way, and helped make our day absolutely perfect. Their recommendations for vendors in the city were invaluable, especially in a city as large and overwhelming as Chicago. One of the highlights of our entire wedding experience was getting to know our planners and having their support throughout the process. We will forever be grateful for their dedication, care, and effort. Shoutout to Briscel, Ally and Kalila. They went above and beyond to ensure our cultures were respected and honored. One side of our family came from Puerto Rico, and they made sure this was reflected beautifully — from Puerto Rican beer from the island to tropical cocktails that brought an island feel to our celebration. The food was phenomenal — we received countless compliments saying it was the best wedding food guests had ever had. Everything came out hot, cocktail hour appetizers were elevated, and the bar service was incredible with so many bartenders that no one ever had to wait for a drink. The staff was kind, organized, and attentive, and the entire day flowed seamlessly without a single hiccup. We could not imagine a better venue or team.

We had our wedding at Olio in April 2025, and it was the perfect venue. We wanted something with an industrial vibe and large space, but the beautiful hardwood floors, ability to customize the space, and the welcoming owner, Sarah, are what truly sold it for us! As an LGBTQ couple, the most important thing to us was to be surrounded by people who support us. Sarah has created an inclusive place for all. Through her venue she is able to uplift a diverse range of communities and cultures. This shows to be a priority to Olio, so if you are looking for welcoming and inclusive, this is the place to be! The space itself is beautiful and has the option to bring in basically any kind of decor you could want. They offer several in house add ons including the string lights we chose to do. Olio provided a large list of preferred vendors, with the option to bring in any other vendors with approval. We used several from the preferred list and they were all amazing! The day of our wedding ran flawlessly. The Olio staff, along with our day of coordination (Without a Hitch), created a welcoming environment for our guests and ensured the day ran smoothly. We highly recommend Olio for any event you might be planning if you are looking for a special, welcoming, and beautiful venue!

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. We had the absolute BEST experience having our wedding at The Boylston Rooms! Myles and Erin are an absolute dream team!! Even though we had the time of our lives at the wedding, it was bittersweet knowing our time working with them had come to a close. As a queer couple, when searching for venues it was important to us to have our wedding at a place that actively showcased LGBTQ couples and made us feel as though we would be accepted and celebrated. The moment we walked through the door and got to talking and touring with Myles, we knew The Boylston Rooms had to be our venue! From there, the planning process was so enjoyable! Not a lot of venues offer such careful, personalized attention along with a HUGE room of decor to help your day come to life. They were happy to let us visit whenever we wanted to take another look at their decor and all our emails and questions were answered promptly. When the wedding week finally came, we honestly weren’t even worried about things going wrong because Myles and Erin had everything under control! My wife and I both almost never feel that way, so thanks to them we were able to have fun, enjoy our day, and just be in love with being in love!!! Do yourself a favor and book this beautiful venue and work with this INCREDIBLE team. You really won’t regret it!!

The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

Having our wedding at The Wheeler House made for such an amazing and stress-free day. We loved that The Wheeler House included a caterer, DJ, and cake—it truly felt like a one-stop shop. Having so many major vendors already included made the planning process much easier and far less overwhelming. They also provide a list of preferred vendors for photography, florals, makeup, and transportation, which made selecting the remaining vendors incredibly easy. I booked one of their preferred floral vendors, and it was such a great experience since they already knew the space, the layout, and what would look best for the overall design. We also booked one of their preferred transportation vendors, which was just as convenient because they were familiar with the property and logistics, making everything run effortlessly. The entire staff at The Wheeler House was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and consistently positive from the moment we booked through our wedding day. Having one location for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception kept the day flowing beautifully. We also loved having both indoor and outdoor options. We had a winter wedding, and while the southern weather allowed us to be outside, knowing we had a stunning indoor backup option gave us so much peace of mind during planning in case of rain or colder temperatures. We also booked The Wheeler House cottages for our wedding weekend, which made getting ready and overnight accommodations extremely convenient. Having our family and bridal party together all weekend made the experience even more special. While The Wheeler House may initially seem more expensive, we absolutely got our money’s worth. Because so much is included, we had fewer vendors to coordinate on our own, which saved us time, stress, and additional costs. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue in North Georgia that offers incredible value and includes so many essentials, I highly recommend The Wheeler House.

We absolutely loved our wedding at The Sanctuary! We initially worked with Amelia and then with Arthur and Kat towards the end of our planning process. Every contact at The Sanctuary was very responsive and accommodating. We loved the space, especially having multiple different areas for guests to enjoy (the chapel for dancing/desserts, the tent for dinner/conversation, and the outdoor patio for smores!) and the beautiful NYC skyline in the background. The bridal suite where we all got ready was spacious and comfortable. I was a little nervous about the temperature in the tent during a November wedding, but it was very comfortable! We will always be grateful to The Sanctuary for our beautiful wedding!

We could not have asked for a better experience at Green Acres. From the moment we toured it we knew it was the one. It has so much character compared to some of these new "modern" venues that are just plain and require a lot of decorating from your end, which we did not want. The staff was super friendly and communicative from the very beginning- They are so organized and I felt like I was in such good hands throughout the whole wedding planing process. Megan specifically was so wonderful and really payed attention to detail to make sure our vision came to life all the way through our special day! I would definitely recommend Green Acres for a "outside of the city" feel without the long drive!

We reached out to The Oviatt with just a month to go—and from the very first call, Gabe was calm, collected, and fully supportive of both our vision and our budget. No stress, no pressure—just genuine enthusiasm to help us make it happen. Lindsey was incredible. Even though we were fairly on top of everything, she guided us with clarity, creativity, and care. When plans shifted, she adjusted seamlessly and brought everything together in a way that felt effortless (though we know it wasn’t!). Even when the downtown curfew popped up the week of our wedding, the team took every curveball in stride and made sure we felt cared for from start to finish. If you’re looking for a stunning Art Deco gem with a team that truly has your back—this is it.

We were extremely happy with the venue and the support from early planning stages, through the entirety of the ceremony/reception. As the bride and groom, most of our interactions involved Abby and Aiden, but we heard positive things about everyone on staff. Before and during the ceremony, Abby was very organized and kept everything on schedule. Aiden did a phenomenal job coordinating our reception as banquet captain and was great at managing the small details that made the celebration special. Would recommend this venue to everyone!

There was never a time that I felt stressed during our wedding planning because our coordinator at Nazareth helped us through each step! She always ensured that we had specific things booked by certain times in our planning. I recently had the honor of planning, coordinating, and doing hair and makeup for a styled wedding photoshoot at The Farm Bakery & Events, and let me just say… this venue is incredible. I worked directly with Becca and Alyssa, who were SO kind, friendly, and welcoming from the start. They truly went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was thought out, beautifully executed, and aligned with the vision!!! I sent over a mood board and gave them full creative freedom to showcase their talents and WOW!!!! SO FREAKING TALENTED!! The florals were exactly what I had envisioned (and somehow even better), the cake was hands-down the most stunning I’ve ever seen, and the venue itself was spotless, bright, and the perfect space for a large group of vendors to come together, create, and feel at home. As a bridal hair and makeup artist, I’ve worked many weddings at The Farm Bakery and Events and can honestly say every one of my brides has had nothing but amazing things to say. From the moment I walk in to start setting up in the bridal suite (prior to the bride party’s arrival), a team member always comes in to introduce themselves and ask if we need anything. That small gesture speaks volumes about how much they value and respect their fellow wedding pros. Throughout the day, their coordinators consistently check in to make sure the entire crew, from the bride and bridal party to the vendors, feels taken care of. The bridal suite is gorgeous with plenty of space for everyone to relax and get ready comfortably. But the venue itself? Even BETTER. Getting to see it all styled in real life (not just through photos) is truly breathtaking. I’ve worked at sooo many venues, and I can confidently say The Farm Bakery and Events is one of my absolute favorites. If you’re a couple searching for a modern, clean, bright wedding venue with rustic charm, THIS IS IT. And the cherry on top? They also do florals and cakes. They genuinely care about their couples and their entire experience, and it shows in everything they do. Don’t even give it a second thought… GET MARRIED HERE!!! You will be so happy you did!!! & looking for a bridal H&MU artist?! Check me out -- @bridalbybecki photos by @thestephanielynne

The Inn at Leola Village was a fantastic, amazing, and efficient wedding venue that exceeded our expectations. She was incredibly organized and thorough during the planning process, taking an enormous weight off our shoulders. She went above and beyond for us throughout the entire process. The venue itself was a great size and well-appointed. The areas to take photos was great and exactly what I was searching for as my background. While we wish we could have used a different vendor for the flowers, overall the value and all-inclusive package were well worth the price. Incredible. The Flagstaff House exceeded our expectations in every way. When we were initially brainstorming our wedding we wanted to prioritize the food and the music, aiming for a "supper club" vibe, and Flagstaff certainly knocked it out of the park. We decided on a day time lunch wedding and it was so much fun. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible the event was - the 5 star food, the delicious drinks, the wait staff's attentiveness, the VIEWS. Annie coordinated our event and she was absolutely wonderful. A true professional who is accommodating to all ends. Even when we weren't sure about something, Annie was always there with an excellent suggestion on how to execute. The wait staff come around and take drink orders, as opposed to the typical wedding bar that has a huge line. The kitchen accommodated all food and allergy restrictions with ease, and the bar staff even created some delicious fall cocktails on our behalf. We couldn't be happier with our ceremony overlooking the flatiron mountains. The location is truly special. They've made us raving fans and we will certainly be back for a "regular" dinner service soon.

About wedding venues

How much do wedding & reception venues cost?

The cost of wedding venues varies, with factors influencing cost including size, location, guest count, and, most importantly, whether things like catering and rentals are included. The more a reception venue near you includes, the higher the cost. When considering venues, try to compare prices apples-to-apples. If one venue includes catering and rentals in their pricing and the other doesn’t, you need to figure out how much additional cost those outside vendors would be to make a true comparison. Before booking, be sure you’re aware of additional costs outlined in your contract, like parking fees and weather-related considerations (adding a tent, etc.).

What questions should we ask wedding venues?

When talking with a potential venue, always ask about 1) their availability and 2) their capacity. Some popular venues book up peak season Saturdays nearly 2 years in advance—if your first choice date isn’t available, consider your flexibility on day of the week and year. While maximum capacity is non-negotiable, venues might have guidance on what guest count will be most comfortable. Also, you’ll want to understand what is and is not included in the venue’s fees. Some include catering, tables and chairs, and linens, while others offer just the raw space. These venues are often less expensive because you are only paying for the space itself, and you’ll have to bring in outside vendors
