“Josh is the absolute BEST DJ and will completely bring together your whole wedding day and make it amazing. I knew I wanted Josh at my dj for my wedding as soon as I saw his instagram page - he creates the best mixes and plays the best songs and really knows how to read the room and determine which songs to play. He creates the ultimate mixes and mash ups, but also listens to you with what you want. His app is detailed so he makes sure your special day goes exactly as planned. He is also readily available whenever you need him for anything. My wedding had a good mix ages (older and younger guests), but he truly has EVERYONE on the dance floor the entire night. I have not stopped hearing all of the compliments from my guests about Josh, about how awesome his skills and mixes were and about how amazing the music was and how he really knew how to engage the crowd. He also has a great set up with lights, a custom dj booth with a screen that you can modify to put your name and also have a slideshow during dinner. It is very aesthetically pleasuring. He made our day so special and it would not have been the same without him. I highly recommend Josh as your DJ for your wedding or any other event. It would be a loss not to have him there. “We could not speak more highly of Luvdup DJs! Gemma and her team were amazing throughout the entire process. We needed DJs for three events throughout our wedding festivities. The vibes and music/genres were very unique for each event, but Gemma and the DJs we had for each event knocked it out of the park, far exceeding our expectations (shoutout to Ty, Kelton, and Kevin!). We appreciated how much care and thought was given during the discovery and planning part of the process. Gemma and the DJs took the time to understand our vision and fill in their expertise to whatever degree we wanted, without ever being pushy. This was important to us because for certain events we had a clear and specific vision (pretty much “play this playlist”) and for others we only had a high-level vision of the music/genres. We have to give a special nod to DJ Ty, who was the DJ through the main wedding reception (first dances, speeches, dance party): Ty went above and beyond in all ways. Beyond a superhuman sense of music and DJ’ing, he was humble, helpful, and keenly aware. “DJ Neal was an amazing choice for our recent wedding at the Rust Manor House in Leesburg, VA. From the beginning of the wedding process, DJ Neal was friendly, communicative, and thoughtful. He took into consideration some of our favorite artists and curated a wonderful playlist for our wedding day (i.e., ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception). We had quite a unique request being “early 2000s nostalgia” for the reception and he delivered! During couples portraits before the ceremony, I remember telling people how much I enjoyed the music he was playing. Additionally, during our reception in the outdoor tent, everyone was out of their seat and on the dance floor. As someone who considers themselves a homebody, he really brought me and my (now) husband out of our shells and created such a fun energy. “Mark Maskell was absolutely incredible. Even though we had an all-inclusive venue, he was my one non-negotiable outside vendor from the very beginning. As someone who has been to a million weddings and genuinely loves music and going out, I hate cheesy wedding music and forced line dancing. Mark was the only DJ whose bio openly said that if you are looking for that vibe, he is not the DJ for you. That honesty alone sold me. From the start, Mark went far above and beyond what was included in our contract. He spent countless hours helping us curate our wedding timeline, reviewing my very Type A spreadsheets, and offering thoughtful guidance. He honestly felt more like a second wedding planner than just a DJ during the planning process. And the lights. The lighting setup and light show were unreal and completely elevated the entire experience. Mark truly curates the music and the atmosphere to you as a couple, not just a generic wedding crowd. On top of all that, he is just a genuinely wonderful human. Easy to connect with, great dark humor, ADHD energy that matched ours perfectly. “Our experience with Jeff was excellent from start to finish, and we highly recommend him for any event. After contacting numerous DJs, we found that many were slow to respond, lacked transparent pricing, or spent more time trying to upsell us on extras we didn't want than learning about our vision. Jeff was exactly the opposite. Communication was prompt and effortless, his pricing was fair and transparent, and he offered everything we were looking for, including sound systems for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as attending our rehearsal to ensure the ceremony music went smoothly. The true measure of a great wedding vendor, though, is how they handle the unexpected. During our reception, a miscommunication left our wedding coordinator absent for much of the evening. Without missing a beat, Jeff stepped in to help keep everything on track, coordinating announcements for speeches, cake cutting, our first dance, and a group photo. “The energy, showmanship, hype, and FUN that 24K Event Band brought to our wedding reception was OUT OF THIS WORLD. We are sci-fi geeks and were thrilled to see that they had some movie and TV themes in their repertoire list that fit our taste, plus they accommodated some special requests. The musicians were professional on site and sounded wonderful - lots of compliments from our guests. Our processional and recessional were timed perfectly. Chelle was responsive and super easy to work with during the planning process. We had a very DIY wedding and she had some great suggestions that were helpful. Anthem is a fantastic choice for string music - they also have solo, duo and trio options, and a huge repertoire covering any kind of music you can think of!”
