“If anyone were to ask me what my favorite part of my wedding was I’d have to say “Black Walnut Farm!” What a remarkable experience it has been to work with Sarah, Jim, Lish, Lindsey, and of course, Miss Lilly! My partner and I didn’t even bother viewing another venue because we could instantly feel how special the BWF property was — we called 30 minutes after our tour and said we were ready for the contract and deposit. Even still Black Walnut Farm far exceeded our expectations! Everything about this venue is so thoughtfully curated and managed. There is just so much care and consideration that has gone into every inch of this very special place! My partner and I decided to have a “honeymoon” week during the week of the wedding; we chose to have the extended package where we stayed on the property just the two of us. Unwinding in front of the fireplace while playing chess and drinking wine was such a lovely way to relax the night before. The sunroom is the perfect place for getting ready the morning of the wedding! After our wedding (in lieu of an after party) we just asked to have the hot tub ready for us, which was the best move ever! Most importantly, the BWF team were so kind and patient, cool and collected. In the face of some extreme family drama and chaotic spring weather they always rolled with the punches. I felt that I could trust them fully and always felt safe and cared for. I was not afraid to defer to their expertise in the midst of the chaos, and I do not regret any of those decisions! In fact, the backup rain plan ended up being better than the original plan! Thank you again, Black Walnut Farm. You have created something so very, very special and we will be eternally grateful!”

“Having a Celebration of Life was definitely more focused on the positives of a sad occasion but it's nonetheless stressful. You still have all of the responsibilities of the hostess and getting your relatives there on time and making decisions prior to the event. I can't thank the staff at the Benjamin enough for guiding me through the process and for handling everything when we got there. I really didn't feel like I had much to handle when we got there. We were able to decorate the way we wanted to and were provided with a tv to run a slide show. One more thing...the food was great!”

“Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. So much of that sentiment is due to the amazing setting we had, but more importantly all the people who made it possible. From day one, Eman stood out as a trusted advisor and throughout the process turned into a friend. The staff on the day of our wedding was unbelievable. Everyone made us feel like royalty, especially our bridal assistant, Jadelyn. The views, the FOOD, the service... ALL incredible. We chose Ravel because we planned our wedding from LA and needed as much help as we could get. Eman was an incredible partner throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Ravel enough for anyone's wedding or celebration. We just might have to do it again next year..”

Located off Cooper Square in one of New York’s most vibrant, artistic neighborhoods, The Standard, East Village is cozy, charming, and eccentric in equal measure—very much in the spirit of its surroundings. You enter the 21-story tower through an original tenement-style building before ascending to unparalleled views of Manhattan from the hotel's crowned jewel, The Penthouse. There’s a quiet, calm garden tucked away at street level that in the warmer months is filled with lush topiaries and floral arrangements, and in the cold season transforms into a magical winter wonderland. On the second floor, The Overlook is a cozy room perfect for a rehearsal dinner or cocktails, connected to The Perch which overlooks The Garden. Downstairs, there's Narcissa restaurant, which boasts its own private terrace, the street-side Café Standard, and NO BAR, a highly inclusive new wave gay bar with custom artwork and a disco ball.

“Having never been privy to what goes into a wedding reception, I was in the dark about a lot. So, I had difficulty understanding what to choose and how much our choices would cost. If it wasn’t for the close proximity to the church, I may have chosen a different venue for our reception. The food and beverage was the biggest expense and the biggest source of confusion. The real disappointment of the F&B was the limited amount of food. The shrimp appetizer was good. However, there was so little, if you didn’t grab some, it was gone. Of the three entrees to choose from, the only one that was any good was the fish and the portion was less than one would reasonably expect for an entree. The chicken was dry and hard, a huge disappointment. The lemon tart dessert was good. The space itself is very nice. Fortunately, it was just the right size for our reception.”

“Overall, we are happy with our wedding day. The Mansion is in the process of being renovated/restored and so far it is looking beautiful! The hotel rooms were recently updated and guests were happy with them. The food was also FANTASTIC! (All of our guests were raving about all of the food). They clearly are a well oiled machine when it comes to throwing weddings. We also had our welcome dinner there the night before, which went amazingly and there was so much food everyone was happy! However, there were a few hiccups that bothered us considering how much money is put into having a wedding & how this venue does weddings all.the.time. so expectations are high. In the planning process, the event coordinator position was replaced 3 times in the year we were planning our wedding with them, the last replacement being the week before our wedding. The final replacement did not have any of our vendor info or cake selections and called me 4 days before my wedding about it (...scary). It must've been a miscommunication from the coordinator prior to her, as that girl never responded to any of our emails; I'm sure she did not keep any notes. The current coordinator also could not answer simple questions our friends/family asked her and was very pushy. On our wedding day, I was paired with a Maitre D who was very sweet, but I'm not sure about her "years" of experience that she claimed to have. While taking photos with our photographer she wasn't paying attention and wasn't fixing my dress/veil every time wind blew it out of place so the photographer had to leave his place each time to fix it himself (it was a windy day so this happened a lot). The photographer also asked her to assist in a "veil toss" shot and she ripped the veil from my head, yanking my head back, when she was just supposed to toss it up in the air. It hurt and pulled on my hair style that was supposed to last all night. I mentioned before the food was excellent, and the Chef is incredible. However, when we booked our venue last year, we were adamant about wanting a real wedding cake--not a fake one you cut one slice into for pictures. We were told by one of the event planners there that all tiers were going to be real cake, but during our cake cutting, we cut into styrofoam...it was disappointing. The cake they served was delicious, but we thought we were paying for a real cake because we were told it would be 100% real. We probably would not have booked this venue had we known we'd get a fake cake; it was something my dad made sure to ask at every venue we checked out, it was important to him. Additionally, some rude comments were overheard by our guests made by various staff members about our wedding. As a business owner whose business is to also provide a service, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially while on the job where people can hear you. Jazmin, the Chef, and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and professional to work with, but no one else there seemed to know what they were doing. It ended up working out but again, with how many weddings this place throws, you'd expect a better level of professionalism.”

“Last month we hosted our 125 person wedding at the Wythe Hotel in our local Brooklyn. We could not have asked for a more beautiful city venue or a more helpful team. Our sales director JD and our event coordinator Cassie are such pros-- both veterans of the NYC wedding industry-- and they helped make the day a real breeze. At the Wythe you really get what you pay for. We had a Saturday "off-season" wedding so the F&B minimums were high but easily met with our guest count. Our 395 a head included a premium open bar, multiple signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a market station, a plated family style meal, coffee service, a wedding cake, all hospitality staff, coat check, A/V team, and hotel discounts. If we hadn't wanted to add extra florals and decor, the space truly would've been gorgeous bare. The Wythe team helped us manage the rest of our vendors and recommended some if we needed. We stayed onsite in one of their giant suites, which was perfect for getting ready and for first look photos. Cannot recommend this vendor enough!!”

“Planning a Brooklyn wedding is no small feat but The Ace Hotel Brooklyn not only made my wedding vision come to life but exceeded my expectations! The team had amazing communication and answered all my many questions with ease. I planned my wedding myself and hired a day of coordinator only because the Ace were so easy to work with. Not only is the space beautiful but the staff are so kind and the food from their restaurant was beyond great. My guests were so happy. I would highly suggest having them handle your cake as well because it’s all made in house and I sent them my inspiration and they knocked it out of the park! Because they handle so much I was able to focus on smaller details and design for the day that made it feel extra special. I will tell anyone who asks if they are looking to get married to check out the Ace Hotel Brooklyn! Ashllyn, Auri, Cindy & Paul absolutely smashed it - couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!”

“Booking our wedding at The Westin Governor Morris was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our big day. We booked 18 months in advance and Christina was incredible to work with—she answered emails right away and we could stop by whenever we wanted to talk through details. Having everyone stay on property meant our guests felt like they were part of something special, and the ballroom itself was stunning with the perfect atmosphere for throwing a party! The food was absolutely incredible, and we loved being able to head straight to the hotel restaurant bar afterward to keep the party going. We did run into a small issue with the hotel rooms, but it was handled. If you're looking for a spacious venue with fantastic service and a seamless experience from start to finish, I'd recommend The Westin Governor Morris without hesitation.”

The whole day was smooth, elegant, everything was honestly so perfect. If there were any issues behind the scenes, we didn’t know about it! The only one negative was before the wedding day, you do have to pay extra for a tasting at the restaurant but they gave us a hefty coupon. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever!”

“I genuinely don’t know where to begin when it comes to Jennifer Batinjane and the entire team at The Albion. They exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding, and I can confidently say my expectations were HIGH . I had such a specific vision for our wedding and cared about every little detail, especially how I wanted our guests to feel throughout the weekend. From the beginning, Jennifer completely understood that. Not once did she make me feel like an idea was too much, a request was too specific, or something couldn’t be done. I would come to her with one of my “okay, this might sound crazy, but…” ideas, and somehow her response was always, “Yes, let's do it”. And she always did. Jennifer was our Memory Maker/Event Stylist, but that title doesn’t begin to cover what she became to us. She remembered the tiniest details, anticipated things before I thought to ask, and genuinely cared about our wedding as if it were her own. By the time our wedding day arrived, I trusted her completely - which, as someone who is VERY Type A, detail-oriented and has a hard time giving up control, says everything. The Albion took care of our entire wedding weekend. Our room block continued to grow, we had family and friends coming and going, and I had individually personalized welcome boxes that needed to make it to the correct guests. Nothing was ever treated like an inconvenience. The front desk and hotel staff handled everything with so much care that I never had to worry. Our ceremony was at the Cathedral Basilica in Newark, so I always wondered how we could possibly follow something so grand and breathtaking. But walking into The Albion afterward and seeing our reception come to life was a moment I’ll never forget. Every detail had been thought about. Nothing was overlooked. It felt like the wedding I had pictured in my head for so long - but somehow, even better. But as beautiful as everything was, what stands out most is how the entire Albion team made us and our guests FEEL. Every employee made us feel like our wedding was the most important event they had ever hosted. Our families were taken care of, our guests were taken care of, and Robert and I were taken care of from beginning to end. Everyone was warm, attentive, gracious and genuinely excited for us. And our guests noticed. We heard over and over afterward not only how beautiful the wedding was, but how incredible the staff was and how seamless and special the entire experience felt. As a bride, there is truly no better compliment. I went into wedding planning with some wild ideas and probably a few expectations that could be considered unrealistic. Somehow, Jennifer and The Albion didn’t just meet them - they exceeded them. Jennifer, thank you for listening to every idea, entertaining every crazy request, caring about every tiny detail, and making Robert and me, our families, and our guests feel so special. I know there were probably a hundred things you handled behind the scenes that we never even knew about. There are plenty of beautiful wedding venues, but you cannot manufacture the way people make you feel. That is what makes The Albion so special. They didn’t just give us a beautiful wedding. They gave us an experience we and our guests will never forget. I would choose The Albion and Jennifer a thousand times over. They will forever hold such a special place in our hearts, and “thank you” will never feel like enough.”

“GCH was the most amazing venue. I’ve been to a majority of the venues on Long Island but this one took the cake. The food was OUTSTANDING (everyone raves about it), the people (especially Paul) were so unbelievably helpful and amazing. My bridal attendant Nang was WOW. She held my train everywhere while we were walking and fluffed it to help the photographers, she always had water for me and the groom, she carried my lipsticks and had me reapplying, she bustled my dress so easily so we didn’t have to bother my mom, she got mine and my husbands afterparty outfits ready for us so we didn’t have to go upstairs… the list goes on and on. “Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.”

“I don't even know where to begin — our June 13th, 2025 wedding at the Olde Mill Inn was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived to the final sendoff, it felt like we had stepped straight into a Hallmark movie. The Setting We used both the Grain House and the Grand Ballroom, and each space had its own charm. Our ceremony took place in the courtyard, and it was absolutely magical — the gardens, the stone walls, the romantic ambiance... it all felt timeless and intimate. We had about 100 guests, and everyone kept commenting on how beautiful and well-thought-out everything was. The Team Lea and John were nothing short of amazing. Lea was with us every step of the way through the planning process, answering all our questions (and calming my nerves more than once). John, our maître d’, was a dream on the day of — he made sure we were always taken care of, that everything ran smoothly, and that we actually got to eat during cocktail hour and dinner (which so many brides don’t!). The Experience It’s honestly hard to pick one thing I loved most because everything — the service, the food, the atmosphere, the convenience of having our guests stay on-site — was perfect. The staff made us feel like royalty, but also like family. Every detail felt intentional and personalized. It wasn’t just a wedding; it was an experience. A Moment I’ll Never Forget There was a quiet moment after the ceremony, before heading to cocktail hour, when John pulled us aside, gave us a glass of champagne, and let us soak it all in — just the two of us. That pause, in the middle of such a whirlwind day, meant the world. Final Thoughts If you're considering the Olde Mill Inn for your wedding, don’t hesitate. The entire day felt like it was lifted from a movie set, but it was our movie — beautiful, heartfelt, and joy-filled. We’ll forever be grateful to Lea, John, and the entire team for giving us the best day of our lives. Forever grateful, Danielle and James”

“Where do I even begin? We got married at the Grain House at the Olde Mill Inn on May 23, 2024, and it was nothing short of perfect. The entire wedding planning process was made easy thanks to everyone at the OldMill Inn and Grain House. They are very responsive, which is crucial when planning a wedding. My grandmother and grandfather had their wedding reception here back in 1957, so I knew I wanted to meet with them to discuss having my wedding there. It was the first and only venue we met with. After going on a tour and discussing the different packages with Lea, I was sold. They take care of your accommodations, catering, bar, cake, tables, chairs, etc. My wedding planning “to-do” list was cut in half! Everyone is so accommodating and they really work with you to make sure your day goes perfectly. So many guests told us how they never experienced wedding food to this level. Everything was DELICIOUS! Better yet, we actually got to eat as the bride and groom. The property itself is gorgeous. John was our Matre d’ and he was the best! He made sure we stayed on time, he ran food from the cocktail hour to me and my husband when we were taking photos, and he coordinated with our vendors so we didn’t have to worry. His efforts did not go unnoticed. Once again I had guests come up to me and tell me how amazing he is. I also had guests reach out after to tell me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. All of our vendors were fantastic but the Old Mill Inn and Grain House really did the bulk of the work to make it an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself was wonderful to stay in, everything was so clean and the breakfast was delicious. I wouldn’t change a thing about my wedding day, everything was perfect and I really have the Old Mill Inn and the Grain House to thank for that. I would recommend the Old Mill Inn and the GrainHouse to anyone planning a wedding. It really is the ONLY choice in my opinion. You will not be disappointed.”
