What began in 1998 has grown into DJ Sound Productions; a team built through decades of weddings, music, technology, change, hard work and a genuine love for what we do. More than 10,000 weddings and events later, we’ve earned awards, expanded our team, and overcome plenty of challenges, but one thing has never changed: our commitment to getting better. We’re not perfect, but we’re experienced, prepared and passionate. Everything we’ve built as a company exists for one reason: to give every couple a wedding that feels uniquely, unmistakably and completely theirs.

I’ve done over 3000 weddings, and this experience pays off in many ways, from musical knowledge to skills required to mix the music in exciting ways. As I “read the room” I take requests, and time the playing of each track based on YOUR taste in music- I guarantee to follow your “must play” list, “do not play” list. Unlimited, personal planning time is included with me, personally, who will be your actual DJ (not a subcontractor).

“WHEN I’M BEHIND THE BOARD, MUSIC IS MY VOICE, MY WAY TO CONNECT WITH THE CROWD. WHEN EVERYTHING CLICKS, NOTHING BEATS THE SYNERGY THAT’S ACHIEVED.” That’s Steve’s favorite thing about being a DJ; the shared experience that comes with performing at events. Steve describes himself as “hands-on.” “I thoroughly enjoy playing the director’s role when doing these events. From the first announcement over the microphone until my ‘See ya!’ to send everyone home, there’s a lot of pleasure that goes with commanding the room. While these events are serious business, there’s nothing saying that you can’t have fun with it.”

At Adagio Djay Entertainment our philosophy is to assist you in creating an atmosphere that will make all of your guests feel welcome and involved without making the DJ the focus of the reception. Although the music is an important part of setting that tone, we believe the focus should remain on the guests and the beautiful memories that are being created as they celebrate with you.

With a million decisions to make for your event, it might be tempting to dial up the first search result for the event DJ in Minneapolis and hire them on the spot. The downside? Not every DJ is appropriate for every kind of event. If you’re hoping to plan a one-of-a-kind party with music catered to your theme and formality level, you’re going to want to find a special event DJ in Minneapolis with experience. Your event is special, and we think the person you select to DJ the party should be special, too!

Simple things that set us apart from the rest... I make any necessary announcements throughout the night but avoid the annoying DJ chatter that takes away from an amazing event. DJing since 2012 with ZERO cancellations. 300+ events of experience (weddings, dances, schools, etc.). Lights for the dance floor, with colorful patterns and shapes but without being overwhelming or annoying. Lyric editing capabilities, to keep the night fun.

Rocking weddings since 2018, and I absolutely love being a part of the day you and your guests will never forget. One big thing I've learned is a great wedding isn't just about a packed dance floor. It's the announcements that happen to keep guests informed, a reliable ceremony system, and getting along with the other vendors.

At A Ran Music Service, we solve our clients’ biggest worry: “But, will my guests dance?” We dance guests out! I love helping couples create a celebration that feels like their own, with music tailored to their tastes and a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish.

I started DJing weddings after realizing that a lot of the weddings I went to all sounded the same. The same dinner playlist, the same songs on the dance floor, sometimes even the same song sequences! Your wedding day deserves a playlist unique to you. Over the last four years, I've DJed over 300 weddings in Minnesota (and one in Chicago). I customize every playlist to the couple. If you want a hip-hop club atmosphere or an all Rolling Stones dance-a-then, I'll happily put that together for you (yes, both of those situations have occurred).
