You could say photography is in my blood, since my father has been a professional photographer for most of his adult life, and he generously gifted me my very first camera. I began my career working as a backup for a wedding photographer in Akron, Ohio. I started out using a medium format Hasselblad 501CM film camera (I don’t miss those days). Over 300 weddings later, I still have a passion for photographing couples on their wedding day. For me, weddings have it all: portrait photography; photojournalism; commercial photography (wedding details). It is all interesting and all part of your day.

While I've been photographing weddings for 20 years, my professional career began far from cameras. I created NPR's first satellite news stream and in 2006, after I left the NPR world, I fell in love with photographing weddings! New Image Photography was founded by Jonathan Koslen over twenty five years ago in Cleveland, Ohio. After working in Israel as a photojournalist, Jonathan's focus was primarily fashion photography. One day during a photo shoot, a model asked if he could photograph her wedding. She said she was looking for someone to just "show up and shoot what’s going on.” Jonathan did just that, and from there went on to create one of Cleveland’s most prominent wedding photography studios.
