We recently held our wedding reception at Terraview and I honestly can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From the very start, the Stroudsmoor team made us feel like we were in expert hands — they were professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our big day perfect. The space itself is absolutely stunning. Whether it was the beautiful décor, the lighting, or the thoughtful setup, everything came together seamlessly to create an atmosphere that was both elegant and welcoming. So many of our guests commented on how gorgeous the venue was! But what really stood out was the team behind the scenes. Linda Forte and the entire staff were incredible. They anticipated our needs, handled every little detail with care, and went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We felt supported and relaxed the whole time, which let us truly enjoy every moment. I cannot recommend Stroudsmoor enough!

Magnolia Streamside Resort

Canadensis, PA

Wildflowers, barefoot dancing, nomadic tipi, gourmet dining under the stars, bohemian chic, hand-crafted touches and lots of pure wholesome LOVE… Welcome to Magnolia Streamside Resort, a gorgeous natural oasis for family and friends to celebrate your sacred union. From the chapel in our enchanted forest, to festivities on the courtyard surrounded by a gorgeous mountain stream, Magnolia is your perfect destination-wedding resort venue. We invite you to enjoy the privacy and exclusivity of the entire property for a wholesome wedding weekend experience.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
  • Lighting and sound are not included
Magnolia was a dream for me and my husband!! I was very discouraged by the venue search and had almost given up when I stumbled across Magnolia. It looked so gorgeous I was afraid the pictures were misleading me. But while the outside doesn’t look like much when you drive up, inside it’s a fairytale world. We were in love from the moment we saw it, and all my guests were stunned. The space felt rustic and secluded—like you’re out in the woods somewhere with the sound of the river all around you. And Magnolia has built up the property with an elegance that makes it even more dreamlike. And I can’t say enough about the venue coordinator, Cheyenne! She literally worked miracles to make it possible for us to have our wedding there. This woman is sharp and incredibly knowledgeable and organized. Her recommendations and tips saved me so much. She’s super honest and upfront about things, and she does her best to take the stress and pressure of the wedding off of you. She also is very caring. Throughout the entire process, she was attentive, and I felt like she cared about me as a person, not just another client. On the day-of, she created space for my husband and I in the bustle and went out of her way to help with whatever we, or the wedding party, needed. It never felt like having a stranger around, and I knew I could trust her to handle any mishap. I highly, highly recommend her wedding planning services even if you don’t end up using the venue itself. Some tips: I personally think Magnolia works better for smaller, more intimate weddings. We had about 60 people, which filled the space nicely, but I have trouble imagining how the max amount of people (120) would fit on the dance floor. I wouldn’t recommend having a lot of vendors and tech either. I think it would clash with the space. We also really enjoyed renting out cabins for our wedding party. The rooms are nice, and it allowed us to soak in the weekend. Another great thing: the property is the perfect size for getting cool photos—small enough to walk but large enough to find lots of lovely locations. Definitely take advantage of that! I highly recommend Magnolia. I don’t know how our wedding could have been more beautiful or peaceful, and I thank all the staff at Magnolia for caring for us.

Coming from NYC, we had our eyes set on an indoor-outdoor venue that could capture the beauty of the Catskills region. We spent many weekends visiting venues and when we stepped into Wildflower on Watts we immediately knew that it was the one. Their entire property is meticulously designed from their landscaping to the barn architecture. Start to finish the experience was as amazing as their property. Bethany, who runs Wildflower, is the sweetest and kindest person I’ve ever worked with, which is something that was shared with all of our vendors and anyone that spoke with her. She helped us throughout the process and was incredibly patient with all of the little things we asked her about. The day of the wedding was perfect and we utilized everything they offered. We had an amazing landscaped backdrop for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour then enjoyed the night with dinner and dancing in their barn. Everything was perfect and couldn’t recommend this venue more. Thank you!

The space itself is absolutely stunning, and the entire team, especially Karen and Blake, were great to work with throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond, unpacking all of our wedding decor and setting it up perfectly. The food was also delicious! If I had to say one negative thing (just so you know this is real.) ... was the cost of the bridal suite and the den, which felt a bit high. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Lake Mohawk Country Club and would highly recommend them to any couples looking for a beautiful wedding venue.

Overall, we had a great experience with Evergreene Venue. At first we were a bit skeptical because communication was slow and inconsistent, but as the wedding day got closer, they really stepped up. Nina, the venue coordinator, was absolutely fabulous - she made sure everyone was where they needed to be before, during, and after the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. She also made sure my husband and I got a bite to eat between ceremony and reception, and was even kind enough to help bustle my dress before our reception entrance. Nina truly made our wedding the success that it was. The venue itself was bright, beautiful, and had great views. The service from the venue employees was also wonderful. There were a few small things here and there that could have been better (some of the cocktail food items and reception dinner were a bit cold, and one of the dessert options changed day-of without our knowledge), but other than that, my husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience at Evergreene Venue. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on how wonderful it was. Definitely recommend for your big day!

Bear with me because this is a long review but it is well deserved! Mainline hosted my wedding on 8/23/25. Let me start by saying that the owner Bill saved my wedding. We had already picked another venue in February and they just stopped responding to us so we had to go looking for another one in October. We had a very meager budget and we knew that finding a venue in NJ within that budget would be an almost impossible feat. But Bill worked with us and gave us everything we could have ever asked for and more. Dani, their general manager who joined after we booked, was AMAZING. She was on top of the event the whole night, both Bill and Dani checked in with us through the entire wedding, making sure we had eaten or that we always had a drink on hand. The pavilion was beautiful, the food was incredible, the staff was amazing, the entire thing was flawless. As a bride, I cannot imagine having a better experience, there is no other venue in this entire state that I would have trusted more than Mainline. I will continue to sing their praises from the rooftops because they deserve it. They worked seamlessly with all of my vendors. If you are looking for a place to host your wedding, or any other important event for that matter, choose mainline. They will not disappoint you. I will be forever grateful for the hard work and support that Dani and Bill put into our wedding and I will definitely be returning for whatever other events I have in the future because they are just that fantastic. Thank you so much Mainline, for giving us the wedding of our dreams!!

Green Pond Country Club was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, Shauna was always available to answer our questions and help us plan the perfect day. The venue itself was spacious yet intimate, providing the ideal backdrop for our special celebration. Shauna listened intently to all of our requests and ensured the place settings were beautifully designed. Her calm demeanor also helped keep my bride relaxed throughout the planning process. We were married on 5/10/25 & I still am beaming ear to ear about my experience at Minerals Hotel. From the moment we stepped on the property to view the venue, we knew it was special. Rachel greeted us and gave us the grand tour & made us feel so comfortable. Her bubbly personality and enthusiasm for the space and everything they had to offer really sold us. We fell in love with everything. I did not realize my experience would be getting that much better with Dana as my coordinator. She went above and beyond to help us. She answered any and all of questions, she gave me honest feedback, and always put my needs ahead of anything else. She’s a professional & a saint. My whole experience as a bride was made better from her being there for us throughout the whole experience. Our wedding day went extremely smooth & I don’t know if it would have went that way without her and her team. Our wedding weekend was everything we could have wanted and more. The minerals hotel staff took care of everything and made everyone feel so comfortable. I cannot tell you how many people are still texting us about how amazing everything was and how they want to find more excuses to come to this hotel & have another event. For the weekend, we opted for a welcome party for all of our guests the night before & offered snacks and a cash bar in the diamond room- it really set the scene for the whole weekend. Our bartender that night kept the drinks flowing and everyone had the best time. The late night snacks were really good too. We also opted for a farewell brunch the day after the wedding in the same room and it was perfect. The breakfast buffet is unmatched & was much needed after a night of partying. We got married in the Sweetgrass Pavilion at Minerals hotel and it was perfect. Not only is the pavilion itself beautifully designed but the staff were on top of everything. They made sure that everyone had what they needed (which was a lot for a 180 person wedding) and were so organized. Our lovely bridal assistant, Kya, made sure my husband & I ate, were hydrated and even had to do a quick tailoring job for me to make my dress more comfortable to dance in haha. The dance floor was perfect for a big dance party, the chicken roulade & filet mignon were divine, and the bartenders made a fabulous lemon drop martini (my choice haha) There was not one thing I could say wrong about the whole night. The makeup artists (Marisol and Leah) and hairstylist (Caitlin) that we hired from the salon at Minerals were INCREDIBLE. Every single girl looked absolutely beautiful. A big concern when hiring was seeing how the makeup artists worked on mature skin & hooded eyes- they knocked it out of the park. These girls are extremely talented . The cocktail hour was amazing. Everyone was impressed with the food (also Kya wrapped up all the food for us so the day after the wedding my husband & I were able to try everything we weren’t able to- it was such a nice treat) & the after party pool party was so much fun (I highly recommend booking the pool, your guests, & you, will love it…and the after party churros- everyone ate those up). After the princess treatment we received at minerals hotel, I don’t think anyone should get married anywhere else. Dana, Kya, Rachel, & the rest of the minerals team made my dream wedding into a reality bigger than what I could have imagined for myself. Do not hesitate, book this venue, you will be so glad you did.

They have such an amazing team that was there for me every step of the way of wedding planning. The food was AMAZING. I didn’t get one single complaint from any of the guest. If anything didn’t go as planned or went wrong the day of the wedding, I had no idea. 100000000/10 recommend this venue!

A Private Barn Estate in The Hudson Valley

5.0

Slate Hill, NY
  • Up to 65 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,000

As a kept-secret private property instead of a public business venture, we share our name, website and corrected address once in touch to discuss possibilities. To hint: we're in the Hudson Valley in the most adorable town, 1.5 hours from New York City; on rural acreage but mere minutes from idyllic Main Street. And as a coveted AirBnB of many years, those who celebrate can return again for years to come... Our six-bedroom barn estate built in 1790 on three acres of lawn and meadow uniquely marries under one 4,000-sq-ft roof a post-and-beam "cathedral" side with soaring 40-foot ceilings and a grand staircase, and a cozier cottage side with farmhouse aesthetic. Aside the manse is a secondary 1,000-sq-ft whitewashed open-space "raw" barn. And fun fact: We host only a handful of events per year on a first-come basis, so you can rest assured that you aren't just filling a slot at a popular venue that will then move on to the next the following day. Let your day be as special as you!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Provides setup and cleanup
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No all-inclusive dining options
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
As a wedding planner and designer based in NYC for over a decade, I’ve seen a lot of venues—and this one is truly special. The barn strikes that rare balance between thoughtful design and genuine warmth. It has a refined, NYC-designer sensibility—elevated, intentional, never kitschy—while still feeling relaxed, cozy, and grounded in that unmistakable Hudson Valley charm. The space itself feels like a home rather than a rental: intimate, eclectic, and quietly magical. It creates an atmosphere that immediately puts people at ease and makes celebrations feel meaningful and personal. What truly sets this venue apart is that it’s family-owned and operated, and you feel that care in every interaction. The owners are communicative, accommodating, and consistently go above and beyond to support couples and vendors alike. From a professional standpoint, that level of partnership is invaluable. On top of all of this, the venue is refreshingly budget-friendly for the experience it offers—something that’s increasingly rare. It’s a true hidden gem, and couples who find it are incredibly lucky. Book today for the most magical wedding home!

The Silo was a dream wedding venue! The high ceilings, gorgeous chandeliers, and amazing backlighting led to wonderful pictures. We had several guests comment on how beautiful the venue was. We utilized floating candles for our centerpieces which played amazingly with the added candles provided by the Farmhouse. The staff was attentive, helpful, and communicative. They paid attention to detail and were always available to put our minds at ease. We also rented the bridal suite and groom’s suite. Both suites were spacious, filled with entertainment, and included private bathrooms and mini fridges. There was plenty of space for my hair and makeup team.. We all had a wonderful time getting ready for the wedding. The food and chef were absolutely incredible. We were able to completely customize the menu by adding things like garlic mashed potatoes and chicken francese. What really stood out is that it felt like we were giving our guests a high end restaurant meal, rather than cookie cutter wedding food.
