Our gorgeously renovated and historically rich space is perfect for anything you can dream up. We’re ready to play host to your next event and we’re suited for just about anything – from weddings and private parties, to community events, and everywhere in between. Host a conference or your next monthly office meeting, put on a theatrical performance, or look through any of the other 101 events we’ve managed to think up that the Anthracite Center can and will host. The Anthracite Center’s event spaces feature cast stone, marble and woodwork original to the building, which we’ve lovingly preserved and restored, making us the perfect backdrop to any event. A Hidden Gem
We truly couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding than The Anthracite Center. From the beauty of the venue to the incredible team behind it, every part of our experience was beyond what we had hoped for. The space itself is absolutely stunning,elegant, timeless, and full of charm. It’s truly a hidden gem that offered the perfect setting for both our ceremony and reception. Having everything in one place gave us so much peace of mind, and the layout and ambiance made the day feel both effortless and magical. Ashley was amazing to work with from day one. She helped us iron out every detail and was always there with support and answers. Her calm, thoughtful presence made the planning process and day of feel easy and enjoyable. And the food,wow. Jason, her husband, prepared everything to perfection. Our guests are still raving about the filet and the chicken francaise! The quality, flavor, and presentation were all top-notch. We can't say enough good things about The Anthracite Center. It was more than just a venue,it was the heart of our day. We feel so lucky to have found it and would recommend it to any couple without hesitation. It honestly couldn’t have been any better.
July 2020 Wedding
Our wedding was originally planned for May of 2020. Pre-COVID, Ashley was very communicative and answer every question timely making us elated with our venue of choice. Once COVID hit we had to adjust our wedding timeline to July. Ashley went above and beyond to help us make all accommodation changes. She kept us informed of protocol and helped us ensure we could still have our wedding while following all safety measures needed for COVID. While our wedding had many bumps, none of them were because of the Anthracite Center and if we needed a redo, we would chose them over and over again.
Fantastic & Affordable
The Anthracite was an absolute amazing experience. I didn’t know much about planning a wedding and Ashley made it so enjoyable. She catered to my specific needs and even brought in some of her own supplies and suggestions to help. The food was fantastic, I still have family who talk about the eggplant two years later! The price per person for everything included was a steal! I can not say enough great things about my experience with the Anthracite Center.

Seriously, Ashley is the best person to work with—she answers emails quickly and concisely, always providing the perfect amount of detail to make the planning process smooth and stress-free. We received so many compliments on how AMAZING the food was for our wedding, and we felt the same way during our tasting. Ashley and the chef, who I believe is her husband, go above and beyond to ensure the food quality is exceptional. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the inside of the venue was! The building is absolutely stunning, and it provided the most gorgeous backdrop for our photos. One of my favorite moments was walking into the reception and seeing our family and friends all around the venue, especially upstairs on the second floor—it was such a cool, unique experience. The staff was incredibly helpful, and we are so grateful for their hard work. The pricing is also fantastic—it’s straightforward, includes so much, and is truly a great value for what you get. Even though we traveled from outside of Philadelphia, I’m originally from the Pittston area, and it was well worth the trip! I would absolutely book this venue again for future events if I’m having them in the area. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough. If you want an unforgettable wedding experience with amazing food, a beautiful setting, and fantastic staff, The Anthracite Center is the place to be!
