The historic Old Carter Barn, a stunning 1884 post and beam structure, offers a rustic yet elegant setting for weddings, concerts, and special events. Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Carey, this unique venue has been meticulously restored, combining historic charm with modern amenities. From the spacious interior to the outdoor gazebo and patio, Old Carter Barn provides a captivating backdrop for unforgettable celebrations. Our packages feature a lot of amazing inclusions to help make your wedding planning as easy as possible- from event planning, day of coordination, 8 seat "model T" shuttle, ice, event insurance, table linens in your color choice, set-up help and clean-up, your own wedding website with RSVP. At Old Carter Barn, we work with each couple to make their wedding as unique as they are!

This recently restored historic venue offers a one-of-a-kind setting with over 7,000 sq ft. of flexible indoor space and a lakefront gazebo and patio for ceremonies. • Gorgeous Ready Rooms: Our bridal suite & grooms room (ready rooms) are perfect for you to get ready before your ceremony. • Beautiful Gazebo & Patio: Your outdoor gazebo ceremony & cocktail hour on the flagstone patio will overlook Lake Carey. • Timelessly Restored Barn: Your indoor reception at our barn will exude timeless character & photo opportunities.

Yes, We are open May- early November.
Yes- you must bring your own alcohol.
We have a lot of inclusions to make it as easy for our couple as possible (event management, planning, ice, event insurance, linens, sound system, set-up and clean-up help, decorations and more). We don't include catering or bartending but can help arrange that.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.
Yes, we have plenty of parking available in the field above the barn.
For a Saturday wedding with Friday set-up (or Friday wedding with Thursday set-up) we all 12-8pm on set-up and 8am-11pm on the "day of". A single day Sunday wedding is 8am-11pm. The ceremony and reception is limited to a 6 hour block- usually 4pm-10pm. The bar and music ends at 10pm. We allow pick-up of personal items the next morning.
No, our venue is fully insured and we will provide event insurance in your name as part of our package.
