About this venue
Featuring a working mill, blacksmith shop, active church, and several beautiful historic houses, Waterloo Village is a time capsule surrounded by an air of tranquil beauty. With its rich history, Waterloo Village is the perfect setting for weddings. Boasting two spectacular indoor event spaces—the newly-renovated meeting house and the rustic pavilion—in addition to its spacious outdoor compound, Waterloo has the resources and ambiance to make your special occasion a memorable success. As a remarkably well-preserved example of a 19th-Century canal town and the site of a 400-year-old Lenape Indian village, Waterloo Village is an incredibly valuable piece of New Jersey history. Waterloo is open to the public as part of Allamuchy Mountain State Park and home to many events and educational programs to teach and inform visitors about the past. When you choose Waterloo Village as the setting for your event, a portion of proceeds will go towards the preservation and restoration of the site.

We chose Waterloo Village for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with our decision. From the first conversation, the team made everything a breeze with their helpful guidance and kind demeanor that instantly made us feel comfortable, like they were our friends. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous with spacious grounds that gave us room to dream big for our celebration. What sets Waterloo Village apart is how unique the setting is—we got compliments from guests all night about how different and special the space felt compared to typical wedding venues. The staff's superior communication throughout the planning process meant we never had to worry or guess about what was happening next. We'd recommend Waterloo Village to any couple looking for a venue that combines stunning beauty with genuine care and attention.

Absolutely Incredible
From our first conversation through our wedding day, Waterloo Village made the entire process feel easy and stress-free. Our coordinator Carolyn was wonderful to work with, and the whole staff kept us fed and looked after from start to finish. What really stood out was how they anticipated our needs without us even asking—they were constantly there to help us and our bridal party have a smooth experience. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking with its romantic, historic charm, and the alpacas were such a fun surprise that our guests couldn't stop talking about! The team truly goes above and beyond for their couples, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to start our new beginning. We highly recommend Waterloo Village to anyone looking for a special and unique wedding day.
