We had quite a variety of genres we wanted to represent throughout the evening (oldies, indie/alternative, 90s throwback, eurodance, city pop, rap, traditional dances, Turkish, Latin, etc.) and he wove them all together seamlessly. Our venue was not turning down any of the lights during the transition into dancing, and Mike took over and made sure the ambience was what we wanted. Also, our photographer disappeared when we went to cut the cake, and Mike left the booth and went and found him for us. While some of our other vendors let us down, Mike really came through for us. He also was very accommodating in allowing us to create a large playlist. While he is new to Zola, his execution and professionalism shows years of experience. 10/10!”

Although we had chosen songs to play on Sound Event DJ’s easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge totally read the crowd, understood their culture (mainly Caribbean) and knew the timing…when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor.
