Hi! I’m Becky Sexton-Ellison, owner and chef of Mountain Heart Catering. I’ve been cooking since I was tall enough to reach the stove, learning from my mom, grandmother, and babysitter. Cooking is my passion, and I love making people smile with homemade Southern food. I was the head cook at my parents’ restaurant for years, and my uncle owned the Fox and Hounds Restaurant in Newport. Now, I bring that rich heritage to every event. Welcome to Mama Gina Catering, an Authentic Italian Food Experience. All my menu items include the most amazing Italian flavors taught to me by my Nana from when I was a little girl. My grandparents, born & raised in Italy came to this country by way of Ellis Island. I loved listening to the stories they told with their Italian friends most of which spoke broken English. All of my teachings were hands on not hand written “little of this & little of that" then tasting until you are happy. To this day that is how I cook because Italian Food is all about fresh ingredients, heart, taste and a deep love of cooking.
