DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. Highly unprofessional
My experience with Xpress Events & Catering LLC started off promising. I was genuinely excited to work with Tami and her team because her initial communication was great and she seemed professional and responsive. I initially inquired about decorating and serving services for my October 25, 2025 wedding, and during our first consultation, we went over all the logistics and expectations. Although Tami didn’t check in often, I stayed proactive and updated her whenever changes came up. About two months before the wedding, I decided to add day-of coordination to my package, which she confirmed included rehearsal and early setup since her team would already be there decorating. I paid my invoice in full, provided her with detailed timelines, and made sure every piece of information was shared well in advance. I also hired them for serving duties, which included heating, setting up, and serving the buffet, managing drinks, and handling our cocktail hour bar. Everything was organized and labeled, inspiration photos were provided, and Tami confirmed all of it was within her company’s normal range of services. Unfortunately, things went downhill quickly. The rehearsal was scheduled for October 24th at 6 PM, and after waiting and asking when her coordinator would arrive, I was told that her daughter Korine (whom I had never been given contact info for) was stuck in traffic. Two hours passed with no update, and I eventually learned she decided to turn around and not come at all, forcing me to run my own rehearsal. When I spoke to Tami later that night, she was unapologetic and dismissive. On the wedding day, Korine arrived late—around 12 PM—and my family had already done most of the decorating that her team was supposed to handle the day before. Despite everything being labeled and organized, the décor was not done according to the inspiration photos, food prep was mishandled, and the timeline fell apart. The ceremony processional was uncoordinated, and things were set up how Korine wanted instead of how we had planned. I take full responsibility for the few small things we forgot, like creamer and plates, but those were fixed quickly and did not cause the chaos we experienced. The real issue was the lack of professionalism, accountability, and organization from Xpress Events & Catering. The next day, Tami texted to speak over the phone, and I agreed, hoping for a calm discussion. Instead, she immediately started blaming my other vendors and even our venue, calling the wedding a “disaster,” which was completely unprofessional. When I tried to explain my concerns, she became rude and defensive, so I ended the call. She then blocked my phone, email, and social media accounts and sent me an additional 160 invoice claiming her coordinator stayed later than booked. She even said they were “not obligated to show up at rehearsal,” despite that being included in the services discussed. Instead of resolving the issue, Tami chose to deflect, make excuses, and cut off communication altogether. I spent a significant amount of money and trusted this company to make my wedding day easier, not harder. What should have been a joyful, seamless experience turned into unnecessary stress and disappointment. Don’t let those five-star reviews fool you—please do your research before booking Xpress Events & Catering LLC.
