I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
We were nervous when it came to hiring a photographer, because after the whirlwind of the day, photos are one of the only things you get to keep once the day is over that help you relive the moments. We had heard so many horror stories and knew it was one of the most important decisions we were going to make. But thankfully, hiring Mysi was truly one of the BEST DECISIONS we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was intentional, thoughtful, and so easy to work with. She made it a priority to meet with us in person—not just to talk logistics, but to get a feel for how we interact with each other. She wanted to understand our dynamic so she could best capture authentic, candid moments on the day. That personal touch meant a lot to us. She even took the time to drive up to our venue (a private residence) in advance to scout out the space. Watching her creativity come to life as she walked through the house and surrounding areas was such a fun and reassuring moment—we knew we were in great hands. We didn’t want just traditional posed photos; we wanted a mix of candid, artistic, and emotionally rich shots that told the full story of the day. She completely delivered. The final gallery was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined—natural, warm, and full of moments we didn’t even realize she had caught. We showed a few of the preview photos to people who didn't attend the wedding, and they all had nothing but compliments for how stunning the photos were. It's only been a few months, but we can't stop looking at the photos. They bring us back to the exact moment in time they were taken and we are able to relive the memories. Literally the only negative is that we can't figure out what our favorites are because they are all that great! We’re beyond grateful and couldn’t recommend Mysi more highly. If you want a photographer who truly sees you and puts her heart into every frame, she’s the one.

Stephanie Hanno Photography specializes in fine art wedding photography with a documentary and photojournalistic approach. Southern California based but travels worldwide. Capturing your special moments to last a lifetime.

Working with Stephanie was a pleasure from start to finish! We hired her to photograph our wedding in Dec 2024 and we still "ooh" and "aah" over our photos to this day. She also did our engagement shoot before the wedding which was a great way to connect and get to know each other before the big day. My husband and I are super shy infront of the camera and she knew exactly how to make us look like naturals on camera! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, fun, and talented photographer for their special moments in life :)

Hey it’s Marijo (pronounced mary•joe), your film-loving, forever traveling photographer! Capturing your day, the way it felt, in both digital and film formats. My style is bright, vibrant, nostalgic with a mix of candids and cinematic images. I love getting to know my couples before their big day! It helps me create more personal work that reflects your love. I hope you know that your love is special, and that I can see that it is. That’s always how I’ll tell your story.

Marijo captured our special day perfectly. She had a perfect outdoor location nearby our ceremony location to take photos prior to the ceremony. She utilized the natural beauty of the outdoors and placed us perfectly to capture the most stunning photos we've ever had taken of us before. Marijo was professional and down to earth; a dream to work with on a very stressful and exciting day. We highly recommend A+M Badillo Images services.

Marry Me Studio was an excellent choice for our wedding photography. Iman's communication was efficient, polite, and professional throughout the entire process. They show up on time and work efficiently. The quality of the work and the value provided were outstanding. The photos from our engagement session were fantastic, and we can't wait to see the wedding photos, which we know will be just as excellent. I don’t think I will ever find the right words for Carmen, but if you are reading this because you are still in limbo whether you want to book her for your next big event, STOP whatever it is you are doing and book her right NOW (before its too late and you regret it foreva). It took awhile for me to realize that these are not just photos you look at once in your life, but photos that you will forever be looking back to- the photos you will show your grand babies and so forth. Carmen’s attention to detail from the start is on a different level. She really takes the time to get to know each of her clients to help create each of story through her work. My husband and I are very awkward and we are the worst at posing in front of a camera- but Carmen was a natural at making us comfortable and just have fun/ being ourselves, and being in the moment. She really made us look like we were the best that we couldn’t stop posting our photos. I can go on and on about how amazing her work is- but find out for yourself and experience the magic. Carmen and her team are the BEST! In all honestly, The wedding album was the second best thing we got out of our experience with her. The friendship we were able to build is first! We love you Carmen!!

Stephen Tang Photo
Rating: 5.0 (15 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,100
  • Serves San Dimas, CA

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
To say that I love and trust Stephen's work is an understatement. I live in New York City with some of the most talented photographers in the world available for hire, and my first choice wedding photographer was to fly Stephen Tang to NYC from Los Angeles. I wouldn’t trust or want anyone else for the job of capturing our wedding. We have worked with Stephen before, and I just love his style of work. I also fell in love with his studio work after seeing another couple's engagement photos and wanted similar pictures for our own. Stephen knocked it out of the park. Stephen exceeded our expectations with the wedding photos. We have everything we requested and much more than we realized we needed. It was so fun to relive our wedding through the pictures. The only potential downside of my wedding pictures was I realized that I forgot to take a picture with my grandfather. I felt pretty terrible about it. I received my pictures from Stephen and cried because there was a beautiful candid of my grandfather and I. It was so much better than a posed photo. It captured the essence of who we are. You get what you pay for with weddings. Your pictures are your memories. They live on for generations. It was important to us to have the best photographs, and we knew we could trust Stehen to capture the event beautifully. Stephen went above and beyond our expectations and worth every cent. It won't be 2,000 photos and duplicates of the same shot. He’s going to give you a beautiful, curated story of your wedding. Stephen was also very helpful with looking over my timeline and telling me what was realistic. His experience allowed me to set expectations for what I'd receive, and he did nothing if not exceed them. Wedding days are beautiful. They are intimate, but they are also stressful. I’ve been to weddings where the photographer brings an anxious energy. That’s not Stephen. He’s calm and confident. He also takes charge in a non abrasive way. On my wedding day I needed that. I needed my photographer to be a calming influence and I’m so grateful that I had exactly what I needed. Stephen Tang.

Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200
  • Serves San Dimas, CA

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

She works in both digital and film mediums and her work has been featured in publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Destination I Do and Brides.

Awarded Best of Zola
Jess Onesto is an absolute dream to work with! If you are looking for a wedding photographer who will make you feel completely comfortable and capture the most beautiful, authentic moments, look no further. My husband and I have always felt awkward when we have to pose for professional photos. Jess completely changed that experience for us. She seriously made me feel like I was a model throughout my entire wedding weekend. She has this innate ability to put everyone at ease and guide you so naturally that you forget you are even being photographed. Her direction feels effortless, and somehow she captures these genuine, intimate moments. We are absolutely obsessed with all of the photos we have seen thus far (I have included some here)! Every single shot is stunning, and our entire family has been raving about them non-stop. Throughout the wedding weekend, we received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Jess and her warm presence. She truly became part of our celebration. Honestly, I am already thinking of excuses to hire Jess again for family photos because working with her was such a wonderful experience. I truly cannot recommend her more highly!

Working with Jordan was a dream! We hired him to do our engagement photoshoot at the LA arboretum, and the photos are GORGEOUS! We ended up using some of the selects for our save the dates and for our wedding website. Jordan has a keen eye for detail both as a photographer and as an editor. He really leveraged the natural flora (and the peacocks, haha!!) at the arboretum to create gorgeous images for us. We hired Jordan again to edit our wedding photos, and they bring us so much joy every day when we look at them. 10/10 would recommend hiring Jordan!

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

We enjoyed the overall experience with Indigo West from the start. He understood our preference for mostly candid photography and he did mostly that, leaving us plenty of time to mingle with guests. The photos he did direct we also loved it was nice he kept that quick, which made it very easy for us! Very happy with this vendor!

His eye for detail, artistic vision, and ability to capture both the big emotional moments and the quiet in-between moments made our photos truly unforgettable. He worked seamlessly throughout the day, always present but never intrusive, and kept everything running smoothly. The final galleries from both our engagement shoot and our wedding were absolutely stunning! Beautifully edited, timeless, and felt true to us as a couple. We would hire him again and again without hesitation. If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, reliable, and genuinely wonderful to be around, Remo is the one. We can’t recommend him highly enough!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience! From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and made scheduling and planning so easy. During the shoot, she was so sweet, approachable, and warm. She captured such beautiful, meaningful moments for us during this special time in our lives. My name is Sarahi. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Since a child, I loved photographing with old polaroids and disposable cameras.. My family used to complain about the 100's of pictures I captured and how many rolls of film I used. Now, I look back at pictures from 10+ years ago, and see the beauty of "stopping time" in photos and keeping them forever. I see how it brings happiness to the people around me and myself. Nothing makes me happier than people looking back at precious memories. I can't wait to extend this experience to you and create an everlasting memory that you can carry for years to follow.

Awarded Best of Zola
I recently had the pleasure of a portrait session with Sarahi, and the experience was phenomenal. Right from the start, her professionalism and welcoming demeanor created a comfortable environment for both me and my fiance. Sarahi took the time to understand our vision and provided guidance to enhance the overall result. Communication with Sarahi was seamless, and deadlines were met with precision, reinforcing the positive overall experience. I 100% recommend SarahiPhoto for those seeking a portrait session that combines skillful craftsmanship with a thoughtful and collaborative approach.
